Yes!

The show is called You Are Super and features kids with difficult childhoods and orphans. Diana was abused by her natural mother badly and put into an orphanage as a small child. She was adopted and didn't speak so her new mother had her take singing lessons to help her speak. She went on to win this talent show two years in a row. Igor is one of the organizers of the show and helped Diana get on with her career. 15 then 17 now. Big fan of Diana for a couple of years.

Diana doesn't just sing, she creats worlds! She has a normal voice for a girl. But she can sing rare female contralto, using different vocal techniques, such as yodeling, growl, deepening the throat, etc. Go on, please and you won't be disappointed! "You are super!" is a Russian international television music project of the NTV channel, which involves children left without parental care. The project is produced by white Media and Studio CT. Igor was not waiting for a specific note. He, as a composer with big experience, gave her the time to sing and was waiting for a moment she does not sing. Indeed, I believe in one interview he said that he didn't want to distract her during the singing, so he waited for the most suitable moment to cast his vote. That he'd vote for her that was clear to him pretty much since the beginning. He's indeed a master of his trade and respects others with skill as well.

This Wicked Game performance was the semi-final of the special year when they invited previous winners back to do a Grand Prix. All the judges were well aware of Diana's abilities as she'd already steam-rollered the contest the previous year with four superb performances singing in French, English and Russian, with the absolute stand-out performance being Rechenka, a Russian folk tale of an orphan bride-to-be singing across the mystic river dividing the living and the dead, asking for her parents blessing of the wedding. It brought the house down and pretty much ensured she would win the contest outright. All this at fourteen. The following year, the year of Wicked Game, she sang three songs, one in Russian and two in English and pretty much blew away the competition again. In the final round the judges don't vote as it's thrown open to the viewers to vote on-line and it was a landslide victory both years for Diana. She's since gone on to release many, many songs, all of them absolutely wonderful, her latest being a lyrical appreciation of nature called Into The Sky. I already believe her to be the best female singer in the world today.

Rechenka is one of her best performances on this show but ALL her performances like Tomorrow Is A Lie (with Igor on the piano), Вьюга (Blizzard), Human, Derniere Danse (64M views), It's A Man's World and О чем ты думаешь were outstanding. Earlier works like Jodel Time, Oh Darling, Non Je Ne Regretted Rein and performances on a river cruise ship Putting On The Ritz, Feeling Good (one of my all time favorites) and pretty much all her Russian songs are very good. These performances show how much singing and stage presence this girl had from an early age. Try her newest video that came out a couple of days ago "In The Sky", it is outstanding. I've only covered the tip of this rabbit hole, there are many others to check out you will not be disappointed. Also Havana and Take On Me. Other Russian ladies to listen to are Polina Gagarina (Cuckcoo, I Will Never Forgive You, Forbidden Love and lots more). Alisa Supronova (My String, April, Horse) and of course Pelageya (Under A Green Willow and Canção do Mar).

apparently Igor said he was waiting to hit his button at a point in the song that would do the least distraction to the song. after this performance, he also helped Diana and her family move to Moscow, got them an apartment, and now Diana is enrolled in the most prestigious university for the performing arts in Russia. Igor also accompanied Diana on the piano as can be seen on another youtube vid.

She is a dramatic contralto, the rarest contralto-type. If Dimash is the universe, then Diana is the earth, our home... and when you hear her voice, you feel like, she's wrapped you in a warm velvet blanket and serving you a cup of hot, dark chocolate. Diana was born May 2003. 31 in Arsenyev in the Far East Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman, who gave her birth, had 12 pregnancies, only Diana survived... and she did not want Diana either, mistreated her severely and tried to drown her. Relatives found the girl with a broken collarbone on the street and took the 3-year-old girl to a children's home shortly thereafter. Only then did she find love ... from Irina Ponik. She worked as a massage therapist and treated children from the orphanage. Irina Ponik and her daughter Nastya fell in love with Diana and took her out of the orphanage. Irina had two children of her own. Taking a child into the family was of course not easy for her... but she adopted Diana at the age of 5 and became, as I call it, Diana's 'real mother'. Diana has lived in a poor but loving family ever since. Since she was lagging in her speech development and even stuttered, she received singing lessons on the advice of a doctor. In 2012, the family moved thousands of kilometers away, to Togliatti, because Diana did not let go of the fear, that the woman, who gave her birth, would take her away. Diana's voice and sense of rhythm were extraordinary even as a child and she won over 50 competitions in Togliatti and the surrounding area. Her confidence grew, her voice continued to develop, and Diana's stage costumes swallowed up the family budget. So, her mother completed a sewing course and has been sewing all the clothes herself since then. One day Diana was advised to take part in competitions further away, so that the other children also had a chance to win. Diana convinced with her talent and her voice in numerous national and international competitions, the Chinese competition for young artists and the competition. So, she could continue her vocal training with the best teachers such as Professor Olga Donskaya (videos on KZread). The break of voice made her voice darker and deeper. She worked hard to get the lost high notes back and expand her vocal range, which currently ranges from E2 (baritone) - E5. She likes to paint and draw, so much that we can be glad that she decided to sing… but have you noticed that she only holds a microphone in her right hand? The left-hand underlines and paint, what she is singing. Diana puts her whole soul into each song. That all makes her performances special and unique. But she's not just a great singer, she's also a humble young woman, who loves her family and appreciates, what they sacrifice for her. She loves her fans (they are 'Friends' to her) and she is grateful, that they help to improve her home studio. On KZread she also regularly answers the many questions of her Friends. Her Russian fans chosen Diana as "National Treasure" (no official title). In her home studio, she is currently experimenting (Corona time) a lot with different music genres and performing on both large and small stages. 2020 Diana graduated from school and in September she has become a student at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts. She will study in the specialty "Variety Artist". She also wants to learn to compose and arrange her own songs. Sad and beautiful and haunting! And she pulled off this *amazing* performance at *only 14 years old!* Blizzard is about a girl asking for the snow to cover (bury) her because her love has left her. I've been enjoying your channel for a few days now. I've especially enjoyed your reaction to Dimash and now Diana. You mentioned getting to know more musicians from around the world I would suggest a band that I have become familiar with. The band, I believe, is from Finland and is called Nightwish with an absolutely fantastic lead singer by the name of Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen). The music they play seems to be known as Symphonic Metal. As a first song I would recommend Ghost Love Score. I'm sure that any errors that I've made here will be corrected by one of the Nightwish Army. 😉 Cheers, Steve

Diana has a huge fan base who loves her dearly. What an exceptional voice. I see you reacted to 14 year old Daneliya, another really good singer. I see no reactions to Angelina Jordan, another 14 year old who is from Norway. Maybe check her out. Shes quite good. I first saw her in January on AGTChampions doing an amazing arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody. She was doing jazz early. Just a thought.
