At the beginning wasn't like that. If im not wrong they change this rule in the rule that you mention right now just some years ago. Because i remember that before this, IT was necessary only have the most part of the ball behind the line.

yea, although these are some of the best saves in history of the sport, he has SOOO MANY better saves than those in this video. 7 minute video just doesn't do Buffon justice.

You have to realize that he's saving shots from some of the best players in the world, and making it look easy. Hands down best Goalie in the world.

All I have to say, THANK you, he is the best goalie I've ever seen, although I'm a fan of AC Milan and he's the Juvi Goalie but I still love to see him at his best breaking all the attacks. unfortunately he is retired now.

I wish you guys did the vid on Neuer. A recommendation I have is one on Lewandowski. Congrats on 5k and I love the content!!!

Ok respond for the first question it has to past the line and yes people do kick it out because they try to work the ref for the longest there was no such thing as goal line technology so teams would get away with anything almost imagine if there wasn't review plays in nba you would get away with alot of things or a challange plays like in nfl so they added first refs by the goalies on each side but the refs needed a raise because they didn't know how to do a they're jobs look at Manuel neur my favorite goalkeeper from Bayern Munich also great video do a let's play for fifa want to see the knowledge put in to play and please if you can do a video on Frank ribery my favorite player in the world he broke messi's ankle

If you want to see a keeper that plays outside the box, check out Manuel Neuer. If you want another keeper with acrobatic saves. Check out Van Der Sar, the Flying Dutchman!

There are various types of gkeepers in soccer, to rush players depends on the situation and timing too. Some keepers are called sweeper keepers (they like to use their feet like neuer and ter stegen) and there are traditional keepers like buffon, cassillas but most goalkeepers nowadays are sweeper keepers. Its hard to explain over comments

There are many good goalies. But Buffon represents the importance of having a keeper with character, and ability. Also he is considered the #1 goalie ever for many generations, great trajectory, and his moves making saves are just out of this world.

Definitely recommend watching him! There's a reason why they call him San Iker which is Saint Iker in Spanish. But overall neuer would be great for rushes if that is what you're looking for and if you want diving and quick reactions then Casillas hand down!

Even if the ball dribbles back out, once the ball crosses once it is called a goal. goalkeepers are beasts! Neuer "the octopus" is also a goalie worth checking out :D Buffon is a typical Line Goalie. Super Reflexes and stays on the line. Neuer is all over the area even all the way to midfield at times. Different goalie styles. There is goal line technology these days. The ball needs to cross the line in its entirety. If even a small part fo the ball still hasn't crossed the line. It isn't a goal.

The reason the keepers rush in these clips is to try and narrow the angle and rush the player into trying a harder shot. If he hangs back in the goal, the striker has the option of putting the ball nearly anywhere he wants. Even big keepers struggle to cover the space of the net standing in it... if he comes out the idea is that there is less to aim at unless they try to chip. The issue with chipping a keeper is, it's a difficult shot to get right and you can't hit them with much pace and they're having to try it when getting closed down. Ideally keepers would prefer not having to fly out, its usually a last resort in a 1v1. A bit more common sweeping if people try to make the pass over the top for a striker though.

Yep it just has to cross the goal line not actually touch the net.. most leagues in most countries have goal line technology now too so if it crosses the line and isn't noticed by a linesman or the referee.. the referee has a watch that will vibrate to signal a goal to be given.
