You dont even have to do that, Just right click American Truck Simulator in Steam Library, properties, betas, then click the drop down arrow and find 1.5

Some oversized loads can only be moved at night because of the traffic during the day

My weekend was nice. Went to free Easter lunch at local dealer where we bought a couple years ago. Then went to visit a friend for awhile. After that Cicis, Wegmans,& Walmart. And Sunday I worked and had a Cornbeef dinner with my brother and sister in law. It was cloudy and rainy in PA.

Most beautiful truck

Jeff you can adjust the traffic density levels in the vanilla game. In the root directory of ATS there is a file called config.cfg. Open it in NotePad or Notepad ++. Look for this setting uset g_lod_factor_traffic "1.0" Increasing this will give you more traffic. Save the file and load the game. This should increased the amount of traffic you'll see. Essentially you'll eliminate the need for traffic mods. You'll have to experiment because when I set mine originally to 1.5 I was stuck at a left turn on a highway for a long time.

Correction to the person that said you can't do oversized loads at night. That is not true. Some states allow it if you have a permit to do so. The state of TX however prohibits oversize load hauling at night. Also states heavily regulate oversize hauling rigorously, and many owners of the hauls must provide a pilot car. This is for day or night. Folks a word of advice. Research first before telling someone that they can't do something. There's already far too much misinformation polluting the Net as it is. While this is just a simulation game, I'm pretty sure Jeff does know a thing or three out there. The guy's pretty smart!

Hey Jeff, I live just south of I 80 in Illinois, and we've been having some pretty good storm structures over here. I have a feeling it's going to be a pretty good season. In Morris and Ottawa there's already been four tornado touchdowns in the past month

yes indeed, his breakdown of the El Reno tornado was extremely important. I love how he advocates safety and the need of an escape route at all times. I would never go as close as these guys get.

That was a horrible tornado. I only have severe weather as a research interest, safely from the confines of a library or computer screen! I remember that exact video of the El Reno tornado. That's tornadoes for you...even the pros can get caught out, and that's really frightening.

Hey, another great video Jeff, hope you get to feeling better soon. Been dealing with allergies the past few days but I managed to enjoy the weekend, I did some local railfanning on Saturday and caught the NS GoRail Heritage Unit 6963 passing through town which was very rare and watched the race and UNC game yesterday, teams were struggling but Dale managed to finish 16th which is not bad and that UNC vs University of Kentucky was a nail-bitter​ at the end. UNC is in the final four again hopefully they'll get the championship this year

Actually, you can run at night in California and other states at night with proper lighting on your load. Before wanna be drivers comment about oversized laws, check them first. As a driver myself that does oversized loads, I can tell you for a fact that you can actually run at night in both California and Arizona as long as you aren't too big and properly lighted.

I think scs. Need to put in where you pre trip and when you go into a scale. Dot inspection and put in where you can see your log book like you can in 18 wheel of steel game.

Pick up some blue Loktite for that set screw Jeff. Works great, use it for mine.

Flat4Buggy 2 cause a good mechanic knows to use blue over red. Can still release blue with a little pressure on any screw or bolt if it needs to be removed on a regular basis. Threads in the mount tend to stretch, not the grub screw.

It would be easier if you just got an in-game truck. I thought you liked the Pete 389.

Not sure who said you can't do oversized at night.... that is typically the best time because less traffic gets interrupted if roads and lanes get shut down. Who ever said that wasted their breath
