Cat Tip. They CANNOT look away. It's both a territory and prey response. If they break eye contact they feel shamed and in danger at the same time. You can break the process by putting something between them so it breaks line of sight. Both cats will usually then run in opposite directions.

26:00 I know what you mean. My wife and me adopted a cat from a cat cafe, then a few years later, much to her displeasure, we took in a stray kitten that showed up while we were moving. The thing is, in addition to just plain being another cat, he's bigger than her, with a longer body and longer legs, which are also longer in proportion to his body than the first cat's, so he likes to chase her and she has no hope of outrunning him. And on top of all that he doesn't seem to fully understand feline body language. We think he might have lived with a dog at some point
