If you are trying to show choreography as a whole, use dance practices or choreo videos. Music show performances are for fans who want the closeups of their idols. With Seventeen, I ALWAYS go to dance practices. Their choreo is too epic to just get close ups. MV’s are for getting the concept and theme and enjoying the visuals. Choreo videos show the meat of the performance. Seventeen’s choreo is as much a part of their songs as the music itself.

So EXO's stage performances of Obsession were all filmed by a team headed up by Super Junior's Shindong! I believe he was the stage director and he does a lot of that when he isn't being an idol. And he is DAMN good at it. There is another version of this stage where they were their cloned versions of themselves, (X-EXO) that is more flames, and bright colors. And there is a final video that combines these 2 performances and once again, Shindong's team did the editing, and it is FLAWLESS. Also, just want to put it out there, that Chen, they guy that hit the high notes, was sick for both performances, couldn't tell, could you?! Thanks for the reaction! I love watching groups doing their thing, live!

EXO’s Obsession comeback concept was that there are two versions of them, good (EXO) and bad (X-EXO). The version here is EXO. The same stage was filmed with X-EXO (in colorful outfits). But the amazing thing, which you *really* need to watch, is a third video that mixes the two together. It’s truly an incredible piece of editing and you’ll immediately see why the camera work is like it is.

I'm going to explain about NCT! NCT stands for "Neo Culture Technology" and is a very old project by SM Entertainment (the company that debuted them), the company even tried the concept with another group but ended up giving up. The group currently has 4 sub-units (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream & WayV) and 23 members, which will change over time as the main concept of the group is to add members and sub-units over the years. NCT U is a rotational unit, meaning that members change with each comeback. About the 127 members: they used to have 10 members but at the moment they are promoting with only 9 because one of the members (Winwin) is promoting with WayV, but as the company never gave a clarification about his exit from the sub-unit some people still consider him part of the group. The currently active members are: Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Haechan (these are the Koreans), Johnny, Mark (American and Canadian) and Yuta (the 1st and so far one of SM's three Japanese idols). SM's second Japanese idol is Shotaro, who joined NCT last year along with Sungchan, but so far neither is in a fixed sub-unit, just in NCT U. I know it's a lot of information but I hope this helps someone! :D

Nah, 127 is not only consists of korean members, there are foreigners too like Mark, Johnny, Yuta (Canadian, American, Japanese) and also Winwin (Chinese) but he's kinda inactive right now and part of WayV/Nct's chinese subunit) You should check out their dance practices if you wanna see some HOT🔥and unique choreographies ;) I bet u wanna see them (recommendation: NCT U - 90's love and Make a Wish dance practice)

EXO's live "Obsession" performance is a live recording of their performance. Not only is their dancing amazing, but they are also singing live the whole time. It may be hard to believe because their vocals are so stable while performing this intense choreography, but as an SM Entertainment artist they have been training their whole career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and continue to sound flawless while performing in concert for 3+ hours. That is one of the reasons why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry, because they put a huge emphasis on finding and developing amazing vocalists. Even SM's rappers get intense vocal training -- on top of being impressive rappers, most of SM's rappers could fill in as main vocalists as well. Now that you have seen the EXO version of EXO's "Obsession @the stage" live performance, you also should watch the @The Stage (X-EXO ver.) and the (EXO & X-EXO ver.) performances. Just like in the MV, when you see the members in the black outfits they are EXO the good guys, but if you watch the X-EXO version you will see the members in bright colored clothing with wild hairstyles and crazy makeup who are EXO's alter ego clones. And in the EXO & X-EXO version you will see how they created a really cool mashup of the two performances to show EXO and X-EXO battling for control. This was a just a special performance created as part of EXO's promotions for their "Obsession" MV and album. When Kpop groups release a new song and album they do all different types of promotional activities to keep fans interested and to get people excited in order to drive album and merchandise sales. If you can keep people talking about the song and album and get them excited about all the promotional activities it is most likely going to make people want to buy the album or purchase the song on streaming sites, so everything a Kpop group does is designed to be a marketing tool to sell more products. Plus, you also should see the behind the scenes of the filming of these stages, "EXO THE STAGE Behind The Scene". If you watch the behind the scenes footage you will see that Shindong from Super Junior -- a member of one of SM Entertainment's senior groups -- and his production company were the ones that directed this whole performance and video shoot. (Shindong and his company are also the ones that produce all of SM's @the stage videos.) In the behind the scenes footage you will be able to see how the EXO members kept up the act between the EXO and X-EXO stages and when they interacted with the audience in between the performances they pretended to be EXO during the EXO stage and they were their X-EXO characters during the X-EXO version. LOL Even behind the sense they keep up their characters and storyline. :D If you want to see their dancing even better, I suggest you check out EXO's dance practice video for "Obsession." Kpop groups also release special choreography videos of them performing their choreography as part of a dance practice in their dance studio.

And, yes you are right, 127 is the coordinates of Seoul, South Korea on a map of the world. NCT-127 is NOT just the Korean members of NCT. In 127 there is a Japanese member named Yuta and their is a Chinese member named WinWin. (However, "Cherry Bomb" was the last time we saw WinWin involved in 127 activities because it was 127's last release before WayV -- NCT's Chinese sub-unit --debuted. So, WinWin has been busy with WayV activities ever since and has not participated in any of NCT-127's activities recently.) Just a friendly warning: Be careful reacting to these network TV production comeback performances. Especially MNet performances like the MCountdown comeback stages you just watched. TV networks, and MNet in particular, have a tendency to be hypersensitive about copyright and will often give you strikes easily. The copyright for comeback videos are owned by the network TV company and they very rarely allow their videos to be used outside of their releases of the performance. I have witnessed many KZread channels get taken down really quickly for doing too many reactions to comeback stages without being super careful about how they post the video and audio. Just a warning. However, when it comes to Kpop groups, you're better off sticking to their official DVD concert videos or dance practice videos instead. Concert videos are usually pretty safe to react to. Besides, you really need to see the concert versions of most songs Most of the time concert performances are 100 times better then any other version you will see of the song, including their MVs. You will be blown away Although, it's going to be more difficult to find live performances that aren't comeback stages for NCT because NCT have only had one concert tour, so far with NCT-127, and I think a smaller regional tour with NCT-Dream. So there aren't a whole lot of high quality videos of their live performances out there. But there are dance practice videos for almost all of their songs.
