Frank was always hilarious, always made me laugh. RIP Frank, a sad loss to comedy. Another great comedian is Les Dawson, he's also hilarious too.😂😂😂👌
We had a program in the UK called “the Comedians”, well worth a look.
Frank Carson is a massive part of my childhood. I'm 58 in November and privelaged to have witnessed the the best in comedy and music
Yes, he is a self-confessed master of his craft... one of Frank's most famous catchphrases is, "It's the way I tell 'em." Great comedian!

Also, "It's a cracker!" Meaning it's a good joke. Not "cracker" how Chris Rock means.
When I was at school, one thing often told us was that, provided no insult is intended, if someone takes offence at something one says in humour, it displays their insecurity, and is their own responsibility.
Great Frank Carson, one of the ole days 'comedians'. Brings back memories of growing up in Glorious Northern Ireland.
I grew up watching this stuff in the 70's. It still holds up.
Frank Carson also used to make the occasional appearance on a Saturday morning kids show called TISWAS(meaning today is Saturday, watch and smile), which was generally a program of cartoons, music and other entertainment for kids (of all ages), during which most of the people in the studio would get buckets of water thrown over them. It became so popular especially amongst university students that it spawned a late night version that was called OTT( for Over The Top) in which various personalities would appear and some of the entertainment got a bit nearer the knuckle including wet tee shirts for most of the females on the show and Frank and a few other comics would tell some of their more adult jokes.

Saturday, Saturday, Saturday is TIWAS day. Saturday, Saturday. Saturday is TISWAS. Never a day to miss 'cos. Saturday is TISWAS day! It was so much better than the BBC Saturday morning effort called Swap Shop. Kids would phone in and offer an something like Action Man (GI Joe kind of toy for Americans who don't know Action Man) with one leg and they wanted to swap it for a bike! Haha yeah, keep dreaming kid! edit: kzread.info/dash/bejne/h22j1pmmeMXZgso.html

Frank Carson at the wheel tappers and shunters social club in the early 70s is a classic.
Proper comedian, along with Bernard Manning, Freddie Starr, Dave Allen, Billy Connolly and Jim Davidson.
I haven't seen Frank since I was a kid, he was quick as, funny

Frank Carson Born : 6th November 1926 (Belfast, Northern Ireland) Died: 22nd February 2012 (Blackpool, England) R.I.P Frank Carson #ItsTheWayITellEm
Frank was non stop energy. He would leave the stage, go to the pub next door and carry on telling jokes to everyone.
I saw Frank do his act at a local night spot in Scotland many years ago. He had the audience in stitches and they had to just about drag him off the stage so the next act could get on. He loved his work and audiences loved him.
'it's the way he tells em'
Frank was one of the all time greats when it came to stand up comedy. Looking at him, you would not think he was of Italian descent and that he was wounded in Action when he was a Member of the Parachute Regiment in The British Army.
You will hear it time & time again EB ! Take a look at the " Comedian's ". The array of classic/funny British comedian's taking turns on stage to tell jokes that would actually make you laugh , can still be eye watering funny even after all these years. Bernard Manning will always be one of the best of the bunch from the Comedian's and even starred in Las Vegas at one stage. But sadly he is never remembered for his success and charity work he had for 45yrs, they just harp on about the odd racist joke he once told.
Excellent. I always loved Frank. He married his childhood sweetheart and they stayed together all the rest of his life.
Frank Carson served in the Parachute Regiment. Served in the Middle East where he killed one terrorist, was shot in the leg & was the only survivor of a bomb blast that killed seven British servicemen. And helped in the clearing up of the bombing of the King David Hotel.
I worked with Frank one night, he had the audience in the palm of his hand, they really loved him, he was a great comedian
I use to see him regularly in the 70's and 80's, as he use to do the summer season in Jersey. also Billy Connelly and Stan Boardman use to play at other venues here too.
Had the pleasure of meeting Frank, just like he is on stage, always cracking jokes and lots of fun...😂😂😂
This is brilliant, took me right back to happier times, thank you so much for this video!
You can tell Frank was in a local club, the comedians go bluer there!
I live in Northern Ireland, about 35 miles from it's capital, Belfast, where Frank Carson was born and buried. You are missed and"IT WAS THE WAY YOU TOLD THEM" (His catch phrase was"It's the way I tell em") Never saw him live in person. One of my comedy regrets.😢😂
I'm 60 now but when I was growing up Frank Carson was one of my favourite comedians. That laugh is hilarious on its own😂.
I loved watching Frank when I was a kid growing up. He was equally at home as a kids entertainer too and famous for his catchphrase "Ahhh it's the way I tell 'em".

I was lucky enough to see him live 3 times. Absolutely brilliant. RIP x
Great video!! He was always the same didnt take a breath!!
This was from a series called the comedians, absolutely wonderful, saw him many times at my local night club
I miss the old days - quick fire delivery, and great belly laughs… a different era
Frank Carson made an album too, it's pretty funny 😁
Hi E.B., Frank was so good, I remember watching him when I was growing up. He was able to do quick fire jokes, I believe part of their "turn" on the comedians, was put aside for just such a section. A classic comedian whose own laugh was infectious. I`m pretty sure, he also appeared on the gameshow Blankety Blank, as one of the celebrities. :)
Was lucky enough to met Frank back in 1980 when I was 12 year old , God he was funny,! RIP Frank,!
You have so contagious laugh 🤣 this is great we need laugh nowaday because our world has gone mad..
I never get bored with your blogs
Love your video 😂
My father used to work with Frank's brother, and apparently he was even funnier. Frank got a lot of his material when back visiting family in Belfast.
Frank was around when PC hadn't been invented. The good old days.

The only thing PC around the time of Frank Carson was the PC Computer
Frank would have had a field day with modern gender politics. God bless him, he was a great comedian, and that laugh, once heard, never forgotten. 👍
Loved him so much .Saw him live in Birmingham .
Frank Carson, an absolute class act.
Frank Carson and Mick Miller were my two fav comedians back in the day.
Frank was a lovely fella he was just like that when you bumped in to him in town always funny RIP
He was absolutely brilliant
Spot on EB, the "old" comics have you laughing non stop from start to finish. Look out for Liverpool comic "Mick Miller, at the Club" , or his turn on "Laughs from the Past" another older comic who honed his craft working pubs, clubs and holiday camps around the UK.
I went on holiday to Butlins with family when I was a child and Frank Carson was one of the acts that were on. My dad was in a wheelchair and on the last day my sister and I were taking the wheelchair back and my sister was sitting in it. Frank stopped by the wheelchair and had a chat with us for about 10 minutes. I think he thought my sister was an invalid. We didn't tell his the truth.
Frank's Timing = Perfect
When you watch the late Frank Carson you have to remember to keep breathing its easy ro forget as you laugh so much.
Hes was just funny , ❤️ 😁,
Aww a lovely man, so silly in a bloody good way. 🌟
A real one off.. A man with funny bones
Loved Frank, so funny
Old school, take no prisoners. Brilliant.
I’ve never seen him this vulgar! I love it. I used to think he was shite when I was wee, I’d have loved him if I’d seen this.
brilliant
This was his night club act, not for tv. But you're right. Why can't we laugh if it's ridiculous in the first place? I still do.
I remember when frank carson used to do a comedy set in our primary school every year he never told these jokes though lol 😂
Ohh the days when comedians were funny telling funny stories and jokes that offended no one ,how things have changed.bring back those days
He was one of a group of comedians who when they turned up on talk shows etc would make everyone fall about laughing so much that nobody including the show host could get a word out 😂
Frank was quality and a real gentleman too. Lovely bloke. He raised millions in aid of various charities, and he'd never go on about it. No virtue signalling from Frank. R.I.P Frank “It's the way I tell them,” Carson.
Having passed away Fforest Gump finds himself at the gates of Heaven where he is greeted by St Peter who says “hi Fforest, we’ve been expecting you but before you enter I go need to answer just one question”, “ok” says Fforest. St Peter asks “can you give me three of God’s names?”, “oh, let me think a moment” says Fforest ……… “sure, Yahweh …… ‘erm, Elohim and, I know this, I know this …… Andy” “Andy? are you sure about that Fforest?” says St Peter …… “yep, of course I’m sure …………… Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me, Andy tells me I am his own” 😆
Your right Frank knew his game
Met him on a golf course, nice chap!
Keep watching. 12 total episodes were made
His catchphrase "it's the way I tell'em"... Back then comedy was free to just be funny...
His catch phrase was, "It's the way I tell em"
Value for money comedians, when they were brought into the working mens clubs to boost beer sales, they'd honed their craft, before hitting the comedy venues and worked up to the theatres. These guys knew their audience and how how to corpse a crowd, without saying a word.
Have you checked out Jethro before 👍
Can't remember where but we saw him live back in the day, Just like here he was so funny, "ITS THE WAY HE TELLS EM" R.I.P Frank, Thank you for the laughs😂❤
Half an hour to get the suitcase closed means he was stealing the stuff from the hotel
Frank was so funny, so loud, and hypo at times, then he’d just shout out, “it’s the way I tell em”, the world is desperate for his type of comedy to reappear
Red Rum is the racehorse that won The Grand National Steeplechase at Aintree near Liverpool three times
Just like tizwas lol
Dave Allen was the only Irish comedian I respect from this era. He was the only one who didn't play off the Irish people are stupid trope all other comedians had to do with English audiences. Scottish comedians had the same problem if they were not Billy Connolly. They were talented but had to play on certain English delusions of superiority to get on TV. Northern English, black, Welsh, (closeted) gay, women.. They all had to "take the piss" out of themselves or their cultures.
If you like frank the you Must try Jethro. Brilliant comedian
Frank Carson was one of the best back in the day RIP Frank ❤ You may wanna try Jimmy Cricket...another funny Irish comedian.
if you want hilarious off the wall , comedy ,take a look at our lovely recently deceased Paul O'Grady as Lily Savage absolutely had me almost wetting myself the first time i saw his show dont much on drag normally ,put paul was brilliant ,
You need to watch the 1970s tv programme the comedians.
Classic comedian who learnt his trade doing the rounds of Working Men's Clubs. Which were very big in the North. They started bringing them on to national TV in the series "The Comedians" which started in 1971. Where they had to clean up a lot of their jokes. I used to watch them when I was still living at home in the 1970s. They were killed off in the UK in the 1980s by the backlash from the "Alternative Comedy" crowd. Who were mostly young left-wing political activists who labelled the old comedians sexist and racist. Most of their comedy was a protest against the establishment, and the Conservative Thatcher government. They faded a lot after Thatcher resigned, and British politics became much more bland.
Belfast’s own Frank Carson, really was a cracker 🤘🇬🇧🤘

The Mr Mugabe joke sounded like Trump giving a speech
@TheEclecticBeard

Omg. The difference between this dude and Trump is this guy is funny because its a comedy show and you know its a joke. With Trump you knew he was being serious. Its a joke, laugh, otherwise you'll keep it in and it'll come out as a fart which benefits nobody. Besides, Trump wasn't that articulate and this dude didn't say great or big 4 times in 2 seconds.

People are deliberately offended just for the attention.
Bernard Manning and Les Dawson were hilarious but a lot more rude lol
Another comedian you should react to is Ken Goodwin.
Frank was simply one of the best there ever was. Your pausing of the video was sometimes badly timed because you missed his most famous catchphrase "it's the way I tell 'em".
This goes back to a time when comedians spent years learning their craft. Not like todays unfunny pretentious “comedians”
