I think the difference is that sports in the US is just show, an event. In Europe, your club is your life. You take vacation just to drive across the country to support your club. No matter if you're team is successful or has a losing streak. It's a lifestyle, it's your life. My team plays in the 3rd German division, we have an average of over 12.000 people in our stadium. Enjoyed your reaction. All the best 💪🏻😊

The difference is that in Europe you come to support your team no matter what their situation is. As a high school student here in America, when we were losing 1-2 a football (soccer) game and there were 2 minutes left, everyone started to leave. In Europe if your team is losing 10-0 and there are 5 seconds left, you stay there until the last whistle.

Football is a religion in Europe, it's a lifetime devotion passed on to generations. If your grandpa is a Real Madrid fan 95% of the family is also Real Madrid fans
1 thing to note too is the stadiums in Europe are designed to move like that to act like a cars suspension as the architects and builders know just how much force that many people all jumping at once creates. Its literally swaying with passion!

As a Brazilian, I actually prefer the Europeans these days haha. Been living in The Netherlands for 3 years now, and I got to go to a bunch of matches in England, Spain and France as well. The passion over here is something else entirely, a whole new kind that I didn't even know existed haha. I guess you can't really compare them, even though in a way they're also very similar. But I love them both. Football fans in general are just the best.
In the United States they are primarily spectators, in Europe, Africa and South America they are primarily supporters. The Americans go to see a show, in Europe they come to see their team win. In America they put the music on loud, cheerleaders, etc... In Europe the ultras put on a show in the stadium. Not the same culture. In Europe a club represents the city, a district, an identity or political ideology, not always racist, I specify. In the United States they are franchises, one day in Oakland, then in Los Angeles and finally in Las Vegas
Fun fact the stadiums have to be designed to support the weight of every single person in the stadium jumping up and down at the same time
That bloke with the mike and the "Seattle Sounders" fight and win routine would be torn to pieces inside fifteen seconds anywhere in Europe, and rightly so, that is just so cringeworthy, it's embarrassing..........

In german Football, you go into the Stadium for watching the game and to live and celebrate that atmosphere. The fans do all to push there team forward. In the case of my hometown Magdeburg (2. Bundesliga), the whole Stadium is chanting over 90 minutes. The athmosphere of the 1. FC Magdeburg Stadium is called to be a „Hexenkessel“. Perhaps you can translate it with „Witch Boiler“ or with „couldron“. 1. FC Magdeburg is called to be one of the loudest stadiums ever (with just 27000 viewers capacity). Watch some Stadium vlogs of FCM ;)
Kind of interesting that many of the clubs shown in the Europe part are also relatively small clubs. I think most European countries have clubs with extremely passionate fans, even in the lower levels of play.

I have said this on other ppl that have reacted to this video, you can see the budding of a suporter culture, you need to keep in mind that some of the clubs in eruope are from the mid 1800's and rivalires that have been festering sence then both between cities and between different social structures in society some clubs are seen as rich people clubs while other are blue collar workers clubs and all this baked in with that often your love for your club is inherited from family members for generations
There's a baskeball fans us vs eu too. Love to see your reaction to that one.
even those clips were light, no fireworks at all
Have you ever seen like all English chants? From Liverpool to Brighton and all. That is some atmosphere!!
I was half hoping the city ground would have been featured singing before a game especially a video From the Trent bridge to see how loud it is
Just so you know, this PSG crowd is WAY quieter than the one before Qatar came in. I could hear the chants from my balcony, now they are less loudy, so I don't hear them anymore. And look the morrocan and turqish supporters, they top everyone. Except Boca Juniors maybe

From the moment sport clubs in America change cities if the board of directors so choses, just shows it's all a business to you guys. Meanwhile in Europe, clubs are tied to a particular city, and rivalries between cities have existed for centuries, so football club rivalries are just an extension of that, plus its the pride in your own hometown

To put into context, supposedly the loudest stadium recorded a 142.2 decibels; that was a NFL game at kansas City chiefs, arrowhead stadium with a capacity of 76,416. On the other hand the loudest Europe football game was at 131 decibels at turk telecom arena. Their capacity is at 52,652. That's a difference of 23,764 less people for only 11.2 decibels. The difference is crazy tbf 😂

The original video mixed it up a little bit. For sure there was the French national team playing (and therefore their national anthem) as well as the Romanian team at the end, so you could compere it to the USNS playing and the crowd chanting the Stars and Stripes. I imagine at 10:18 at was the Romanian team playing, but not sure of that. It's a total different vibe when your club team is playing compared to your national team in Europe, even if for many supporters they will be as fanatic for their club as for their national team. Big difference: you'll almost never will see national flags in Europe when your club team is playing, only during games betweens national teams. Rather strange, as a European, to see all those national flags in the NBA, NFL, ... games. In Europe, when your club team is playing, those are the colours you're supporting...
this is how stadiums are built in europa. greetings from the ♥ of the alps.
I swear to god , in Europe , you choose a club and go with this club your all life , I’m a Madrid fan since I’m 6 (2005) and I’m proud of it until I’m gonna die , even if now there is a lot of people only following player instead of teams
In Europe there are groups in the stadium which live since many years. They are organised, they organise fights, chants and many other things. You cannot do as you wish in the stand behind the goal or you will get beaten up
That Seattle's guy here in Brazil is called of "Boça"
Argentina has the best crowd of the world 😎👌

It must be said that at least they put clips from the USA, of fans in football matches, which, although they seem simple and even boring, are, by far, more passionate than those of basketball, baseball or american football.
You should watch more of this...Dortmund is in the Stadium much louder
Those european games are meh, check ultras our way of life... or other derby games these are meh for european standard
there is a cool effect, called "wave"👌🏻 hello from Kiev✌🏻
For a next video, Us commentary vs European commentary (Sorry for my english). An advice, the commentaries for the end of the match Belgium - Japan (World Cup 2018) are beautiful.
In Munich, where the NFL game took place, it is like in the USA, money rules and not passion! Munich is in Bavaria, the country is relatively large but sparsely populated. I live in North Rhine-Westphalia, here are FC Cologne/Schalke/Dortmund and many other clubs that really have less to do with money than with passion, we have 16 million people here in this state and it is the most populated area in Europe .
8:39 they rally like Pippi Longstockings, that was 2nd time we herd them use that melody. ;)
The main difference is more about who are going to the stadium, I am from Europe and I live in USA from only 4 years but here in US, family are going together to the stadium, in Europe they are very mainly band of male going, no kid or family and that make the things very wild, I mean from my personal experience
US: Clap, clap, polite applause. Europe: FULL SEND, GO TO WAR
Frankfurt pulls out the melody from Pippi Longstocking👏👏🇸🇪

In Europe we are an important part of our favorite clubs not just random people going to games watching a show.
The Fans in a football game are like the 12th man on the pitch, watch Liverpool vs Barcelona, Liverpool 3-0 down came back to win 4-0, its tribal here, you only have a young history of sport, so really its no comparison to the European supporters, get some chants together, and make words to a well known song that'll help you on the way
check out the passion on the italians singing the national anthem before games....
8:50 the best fans ever

Everybody laugh about that american on microphone " fight and win" BUT in the video , thats the best fan of the american part.
