Once again, and as previously pointed out, Dylan Moran is entirely a product of Ireland (Navan, Co. Meath) and it's worth emphasising because I have always considered him to be the natural successor to Dave Allen. He has the same sense of outrage, an exaggerated indignation.

I'm English and I think Ireland has produced some of the best comedians in the world. Dave Allen was a legend. I must have watched Mrs brown's boys about 5 times and pissed myself every time. You have every right to claim ownership of these geniuses. ✌️♥️🇬🇧

The reason you understood him is that he spoke with a very soft, articulate accent with zero slang. I guess this is because he is Irish, and his audience was British, so he deliberately speaks in such a manner.

Mine too, I hear he's Irish btw. One of those. 🙄
Btw, this is as good a place as any, but my father had an American step-grandma who was a major influence on him and she hailed from Providence, RI. She had married an Irish surgeon whom she met when she was a nurse. A distant relative of mine. Tragically, he died when he jolted from the open platform of a train. My great grandfather from Ireland wrote to commiserate with her. Then three years later, his wife, the mother of his TEN children died from TB and it was the widow of his cousin's turn to write .. and write .. and write .. until eventually, she chose to visit Ireland (1905). She had come from an America city with its cable cars, electricity and sanitation to a tiny village with no running water and the only light from candles or paraffin lamps. Guess what? She never returned to the States and remained to be a mother to the ten children and a dedicated companion to her new husband.
I was in Las Vegas once and lined up for a breakfast buffet. In front of me was a female elephant with a huge, and I really mean huge buffet.. When she got to the front...they asked her what she would like to drink. She said" A coke....but diet". I had to control myself from not cracking up but I was afraid I may lined up within a herd.
Loved your reaction. You have an open mind and you question yourself😊
My father took me from my native American country at 14 to live in the UK to get a great education and I did thank God
In the UK we put our hands in front of our mouths when we yawn. It is considered polite.
'They end up killing the fly' comedy gold right there.
For real though, Arnold Schwarzenegger is low key the greatest personal success story of all time. Bill Burr described it best: “Anyone here think they could move to Austria, learn the language, get famous for working out, become a movie star, marry into their royalty and hold public office? How many lifetimes do you think it would take? The dude has been ‘in the zone’ for over 4 decades!”
Your attempted British "I'm a doctor" sounded more like a very bad Australian accent.

About as good as the usual murican attempts at an English accent then. I'll never understand why a people so shite at accents feel the need to do them every chance they get.
Your bull in a china shop analogy is perfectly illustrated in the opening scene of Team America- World Police.
McJibbin: “Can’t remember his name, you know who I’m talking about.” Everybody watching this video: “JIMMY CARR!!!”
6:00 The movie Loaded Gun (Samuel L. Jackson, Emilio Estevez etc) has a brilliant scene where exactly that happens. Estevez is playing a cop who is in a bodeka and some people come in to rob the place. So he goes all Rambo on them, and eventually after an extended over the top firefight he shoots both robbers... then says to the owners, no need to thank me, just doing my job and leaves. The whole place has been leveled with basically nothing left standing in the store and the store owners are screaming at him for destroying his store

I think every normal person lifts between 0 and 1 pianos in their life, because one is enough to tell you you never want to do that again.
The thing about Americans is that they can't tell a British accent from an Irish accent even though most of them claim to be Irish.
Great analogy mate- the bull and china shop.
That Bull story was a great analogy!

Hi, glad you like him. I find his accent quite difficult. I think its how similar it is to what you are used to, or are becoming used to.
Connor, 'tiffin' = afternoon tea, in case you didn't recognize it.
If you want more of Dylan have a look at Black Books (Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Tamsin Greig ), a book shop that didn't really care about selling books !!
I love Dylan Moran, his humour is so crazy and random but hilarious. And so true. Kevin Bridges from Glasgow is also very funny but would be a bit harder to understand I imagine, though he does tend to modify his accent according for the audience.
The most offensive in UK during the 80s and 90s was Roy Chubby Brown, and he is still going, maybe try out, Roy Chubby Brown- 50 shades of Brown 2019, would love to see you're reaction.
I like you, Connor. You’re real & funny. I love your scouse (Liverpool) accent too! ‘Am a docter’ brilliant!

Jimmy Carr, yea. And youre supposed to cringe at that joke. Its absolutely disgusting... which is the whole point of the joke. Thats why its fakking hillarious.
Great Irish talent , if you can find the his TV series Black bookS your die laughing , with his cant be arsed with life character so funny
As Rambo said, "I'LL GIVE YOU A WAR YOU'LL NEVER FORGET!!!!!" obviously.
You probably understood him better because he's Irish.
You have the same curtains as me.
Jimmy Carr would never say 'cock' like that.

Funny guy. Great video.
Nothing wrong with calling people fat....they did it to themselves. They had loads of time to back out of that project!!!

Moran ... years ago I managed a call centre (someone has to). It was a bit slow, so correspondence was distributed to respond to customers by phone. Customer service assistant: "Could I speak to Mrs Moron, please?" .... silence whilst customer responds ... Customer Service Assistant: "Er, yes.
