Wow you are taking me back. The wormed that turned when men wanted to flee to Wales where they could be free. Diana Dors if I remember rightly was the leader of the female revolutionists. The phantom raspberry blower of old london town. Such fun.

I'm American, and it's interesting that this is Yorkshire area, same as the location of Downton Abbey. They must have a range of accents in the same area.

They both are using a specific local dialect (bit more than just an accent), common to the Norfolk or East Anglia region North of London. It's well archaic, having 'thees' and 'thous' and 'sithee' = 'see thee' or 'do you see?' That both customer and veterinarian are old, nearly deaf and need serious glasses just adds to the confusion.

That was an ebelished Norther accent IE Lancashire and Yorkshire hybrid , so you did well untangling that, i 'm a Northerner and I struggled ...

Yea like others have said, it is a Yorkshire accent they are kinda doing. South Yorkshire (Sheffield), my neck of the woods. "Reight queer" means 'right/really weird', the original meaning of queer.
