I want to create a watering hole for people who want to discuss, learn and teach about history through KZread videos which you guys recommend to me through the comment section or over on Discord. Let's be respectful but, just as importantly, not be afraid to question any and everything about historical records in order to give us the most accurate representation of the history of our species and of our planet!

    As an American I don’t understand what you mean by “clued up”? What we get British humor?? It’s humor anyone can pick up on. Even if you use some fancy words we can still get the jokes.

    What they did in Boston was add cold salt water with no milk (sugar optional). So as Tea Parties go fishy tasting cold Tea is understandably not the answer. So when our fine American cousins try another UK Empire beverage called Coffee with warm fresh water it was understandable they were going to enjoy that more. As for the right to bare arms wore my short sleave shirt last week because it was a warm day so I see no problem.

    She's called Diane Morgan and was born in my home town, Bolton, Greater Manchester. The first time I saw her on tv I knew the accent and looked her up. 😂 She sometimes gets words mixed up or says them wrong, this she picked up from older Boltonians who used to work in the textile mills and would lip read and contort their faces trying to be heard over the noise of the textile machinery 😂.

My guy you need to learn to read I never once said he created the first lightbulb, I said he was the first to make one that was cheap enough to make whilst still being useful to the average person. I.E the first commercially viable lightbulb, not the first one ever created. This is why reading comprehension is important kids.

    I would LOVE to see Cunk on Shakespear! It's the subject she most hates. The sheer lengths she would go to to change the subject and the total research failures would eclipse even her Pump Up the Jam fillers. Bring it on!

    I always believed that pavement in UK refers to the footpath, i.e. the US sidewalk, whereas in the US it generally applies to the road surface.

    Yet the construction industry refuses to recognize either term and insists on erecting 10's of thousands of signs reading 'Footway closed' dispite not a single uttering of the word amongst the British civilian population in it's entire history other than to chastise the signs.

    In Britain we call the road tarmac. Because it's a brand name for the type of bitumen used..

    @@neilgayleard3842 this is funny thing in post-communistic countries, we often had just kind of product and it was often called by the brand name, so when new brands were introduced to our market (after 1989), some of the kinds of products are still called by the old brand name - which continues to exist as well. (It has to be very frustrating for marketing teams of those brands :D )

    No she didn’t. She invented frequency hopping, so that radio-controlled torpedoes could randomise their frequencies and therefore avoid being jammed. It’s not the same as “inventing wifi”. Maybe you’re confusing it with packet switching. And before somebody says that radio signals don’t travel under water, well that solution is classified. Probably. 😊
