I remember the signals and terrible noice calling up internet here in Sweden. I also remember it was impossible to call someone. The line to them were busy because they was on internet.

That was fun! OMG that dial up noise! Its hard to believe we had to wait for the line to be free and then if you downloaded anything it took ages and ages, and right at the end the connection would drop out.....

I replaced the "you've got post" sound file with 'mail motherf**ker!' (from the film Eurotrip).
