The writing was insanely good. About 5 or 6 stories running in each episode that intertwined increasingly, and eventually coming together at the end of the show. Almost a crime that only 12 episodes were ever made. An undisputed British masterpiece.

Better 12 episodes of near perfection than 24 episodes, the last half of which are just rubbish filler or cash-ins. I doubt _anyone_ could keep this standard of writing and performance up for long. In fact, didn't Cleese and Booth's marriage pretty much break up as a result of the pressure of writing those 12 episodes?

Just goes to show that funny is funny no matter what. Well done lad, keep up the good work.

Great reaction, such a funny show and I love the fact that you get the humour as an American. British humour is sometimes hard to understand with the sarcasm and irony. Definitely a brilliant reaction, cannot wait for the next one.

Fun fact Andrew Sachs (Manuel) commented on this episode. At the end John Cleese grabbed a real pan by accident and smacked him over the head, he said he was so pleased it was the final scene as it knocked him senseless and he wasn't able to get straight back up after the hit he just took.

I don't think you got the joke about the " chemist". In the UK we call our DRUGSTORES chemists. Basil thought he wanted to buy some condoms from the chemist. Hence the misunderstanding. Sorry. TOO MUCH INFORMATION " I gotta pee quick " !! There's a bit missing from the video !!

I get the impression that people might have commented to say to not stop and comment? If so, ignore them 🙌. I'd love to hear your thoughts as and when you have them and expect most people think the same! Great channel 🎉 thank you!
