There's a whole series of his sketches done in Lego worth checking out. The visiting the 24hr garage(gas station) at 3am, is one of my favourites.

Hands down one of my favourite standups of all time. I recommend watching the whole thing. He is so creative, and he links a lot of the jokes together in a clever way. Dress to kill is a masterpiece.

I always thought the stress was on the last syllable of Izzard, like Jean Luc Picard

Just spent the last hour trying to find youtube clip of Eddie pronouncing it 🤷‍♂ I've always pronounced it with a hard r sound. I've heard examples said both ways, but noting from Eddie so far. I don't think it's supposed to sound like Lizard at all

As I was born in Plymouth, Connor,....the original one and not the American facsimile of it, I always think that my ancestors saw the Pilgrim Fathers off in 1620 with their shouts of " Good, f*ck off and don't come back! " rather than your imaginary all-American version of what they might've said - the people onboard the Mayflower obviously misheard them and thought that the residents of Plymouth were saying, " Good luck and don't look back. ", didn't they?

6:02 I saw this in 1998 and, to this date, it annoys me that he gets it wrong here. He says "you say you shagged someone, when you didn't", when he should have said "you say you didn't shag someone, when you did", as he was talking about Bill Clinton saying that he "did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky".

Eddie is a brilliant comedian. Another suggestion for you is Rhod Gilbert's luggage story. It's hilarious.

The easy way ,although not probably correct ,is to think of it as the opposite of extreme Communism.

Fascism is confusing partly because it has taken on a new meaning i modern times where it now just very vaguely means authoritarian right-wing politics. If you stick to a strict definition of fascism it's an ideology that really can't be seperated from the times in which it emerged. And while it shared some tenets that we would categorize as right-wing it was also very much a progressive movement. While they sometimes used christian identity, symbolism and rhetoric the ideology was very anti-christian. In fact, if I had to sum up fascism in one sentence I think I would go with: "The meek SHALL NOT inherit the earth". This is the second reason fascism is very confusing, it's awash with contradictions and it was built much more on style than substance. I found it a bit funny that as many times as people called things Trump said or did fascist, they actually missed the big one. As weird as it may sound, Trump insulting Jeb Bush by calling him "low energy" is probably the most "old school fascist" thing he ever said. Because that was what fascism was really about, energy and pageantry. It really was more of a movement than an ideology. "Building a new Italy by being strong and modern, we'll figure out the specifics later". But "later" never came. Get a following, get into power, make sure we don't lose power, prepare for war, lose the war, the end. 20 years from start to finish. It didn't have much time for debate, evolution or even governing - so it never settled as a political ideology. This is a bit of a mix of facts and my interpretations so take it with a grain, or mountain, of salt, but hopefully it at least gives you the right questions and a new perspective ahead of more thorough reading on the subject.

It’s simple Conor , fascism is the opposite of Democracy. Instead of a large number of folk deputed by their local constituents to look after their affairs at a national level , fascism is where one strong guy with a small amount of close advisors enforces his will in the whole population ie - Hitler , Stalin , Mussolini , Kim Jong Il , Pol Pot and latterly Putin , hope that helps 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Eddie's not trying to. Someday you'll grow up and learn that nobody is asking for your approval. Your opinion on other people's lifestyles is inconsequential. Nobody cares what someone like you thinks, least of all Eddie Izzard.

Eddie was one of Britain's finest comedians, was cause the last few years his material has become lame woke shite of him calling everyone leaning right of the political center a neonazi....
