Oh...and in case you were wondering...when Richard and James referred to a "big sea", they were absolutely calling Jeremy THE "C" word. 😂😂😂😂

Uhh, the feminine C or the masculine C?

@@andriealinsangao613 Well...James and Richard are both pretty old fashioned guys, so they would not be looking at Jeremy as feminine...so my firm belief is that they were using the Australian C...which is most properly gender AND sex neutral.😁

Most deserts are very cold at night, but Namibia has a cold Atlantic current that means it’s so cold by the sea that clouds have difficulty forming. Winter days can be 10C. The locals catch water in nets from mists that form in the morning over the dunes. (David Attenborough does at least one whole programme on Namibia … something about elephants that seem to be in the wrong place and the rest is desert wildlife.)

The Atlantic ocean on thie west coast of Southern Africa (Namibia) is on a much colder current as the Indian Ocean on the East Coast. Notoriously cold, but great for fishing.

My friend and I once built a pretty neat 'floating arm' trebuchet, only threw rocks with it, but it was pretty cool. Stood about 8ft (top of the arm) and used a cinder block as the counterweight. Good times launching projectiles at the local abandoned Iceland store. 🤣 If you're not sure what a 'floating arm' is...basically it wasn't authentically medieval. Instead of the arm coming around in an arch, the whole mechanism is on wheels, on a base, so the counter-weight comes 'straight down' which essentially means less energy is lost due to the arch motion of a 'normal' trebuchet. Actually, mark 1 was a normal trebuchet, mark 2 was fully on wheels, and (since we realised the ground was too unstable) mark 3 (the largest) was on a base. Actually we soon realised launching in full public view was somewhat _dangerous_ in a fairly built up suburban area...so we mostly used mark 3 over the local disused railway embankment 🤣 I was actually more fascinated by the motion of the trebuchet than by the possible damage it might cause, watching the whole thing move forwards and backwards with the counterweight coming straight down...trying to decrease the friction to get the best action...it looked quite beautiful. Though we did of course make note of how the projectiles 'acted'. I think we got well over 50ft in height and 200ft in distance with fist sized rocks in the end. We didn't exactly 'measure' anything though! It was just good fun lol.

Love these guys. And I was surprised to find I really enjoyed Clarkson's Farm too. Christmas soon, Connor! We have a tradition of Christmas adverts here in the UK which you may enjoy. I'm still awaiting John Lewis (department store) advert for this year, but they've started releasing some already, which is exciting. xx

Hi Connor...it is always great that you love Clarkson/Hammond/May so much...I would like to once again suggest that you start the long-ish term project of watching all the episodes of Top Gear/Grand Tour that you can. There may be some that you have to sign up for trial periods to watch, especially the specials...but I guarantee that if you start a full watch through of Clarkson/Hammond/May, you will get plenty of donations to cover any costs. LOL ✌✌💯💯😁😁

For a bit of context at 3:18, they came to a heavily flooded part of the road which didn't affect Clarkson and Hammond. May decided to just go through and hope for the best but he flooded the engine and out of frustration (cos May kept getting stuck and needed rescuing), Clarkson cut the front end of the car away.

Off topic, but 5 weeks to Christmas. You need to do a search soon on “Christmas at the Ministry”. It has been a while since you did a Yes Minister or Yes, Prime Minister reaction.

You have to put yourself on the picture while you’re watching this thing? You couldn’t let the meltdown go full screen and just put your comments over while we don’t watch you Chugalug from a gallon of water? Yes I’m not interested in this.
