The one in blue just sitting, right? This was in Russia, is a cultural thing, they don't show their emotions by standing ovations or shouting, but that doesn't mean that they don't enjoy the music. You'll see the same reaction on every performance in Russia, just sitting and clapping respectfully....and then...lots of flowers!!!

The guy in the white shirt is actually very impressed. That is the great Igor Krutoy, a very rich and famous Russian Composer. Igor was so impressed with Dimash that he came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash. He composed many songs for Dimash and you will immediately know which ones they are because you will see Igor playing the piano on stage while Dimash sings. They became good friends. By the way, I love your reactions! I'm looking forward to seeing you react to more of Dimash. He is definitely the best singer in the world.

Hi, I’m Eastern European. It’s definitely a cultural. We are way more reserved. I went to three of his concerts. People came from all over the world. Yes, we were all on our feet. It’s such an emotional experience. I couldn’t hold my tears back. I can’t wait to see him again.

@@violetvillas Yeah, I have cried several times just watching him on KZread, I can't wait to see him live. I just hope he comes to the USA soon. I know he did a concert in NY in 2019 but I did not discover him until last year. I live in the Western US so I'm hoping he'll come to Las Vegas or Los Angeles. I know he has spent some time in Los Angeles but I have not heard any word yet on new concerts here. I told a friend I mine that I never believed in "bucket lists" but now I have one and it has one item in it: To see Dimash perform live. 🙂 Thanks for confirming the cultural difference. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. HIS CHANT He stopped the performance raising his arm. The "yodel" he does is the Kazakh throat singing "chant of mourning" he inserted telling no one, recognized immediately by many in the audience *note the silence and scattered applause, those backstage and the stunned band as his tribute to the recently deceased member of the beloved Kazakh band A Studio onstage who composed the song. It was so well received it remains in his performance. A deeply respectful move so like him.

Standing ovations are not done in Russia. Igor Krotoy is Russian. Him standing is a sign of great admiration. Watch some of yhe videos where he wrote for Dimash. Stranger. Ave Maria.
