This was Chinchilla's first ever experience of busking. They have an incredible chemistry - Ren describes her as his "sister from another mister". Chinchilla says that their musical chemistry is like meeting a stranger who has an identical sense of humour, it is rare and special. (I was never into rap/hip hop before hearing Ren)

Ren calls Chninchilla his musical sibling. They have an incredible connection when they perform together. They used to be on the same management company before Ren went completely independent. Ren said he would love to record an EP with her. I agree - I was always surprised how low Chinchilla’s subscriber count was, especially before she started blowing up on her own with Little Girl Gone. She’s got so much soul in her voice and a truly unique style

I think her lack of subscribers might reflect where she spends a lot of time. I don’t have tik tok but I bet she’s got a large following there because I think she posts there a lot. All the stuff with Ren (except for their busking cover of sexual healing) is on Ren’s page, I think. That’s why a lot of us love when reactors do Chinchillas solo stuff so it drives people to her page too :)

Grew up through bone thugs, Eminem and eventually was on Tech N9ne and all of strange music for about 20 years. Rens the first artist in a long time I've connected with the same way Tech got me. Real talk, bangers, genre bending and wearing their heart on their sleeve and doing it independently and killing it for live performances

For real. This shit next level and yeah I been around rap my whole life early 90s-on. I’m still writing too for fun,but Ren is crème de la crème of this era imo. “SQUEEKING” and squawking included. If u don’t vibe w that it’s on u lol 😂

"Creative liberties" I think one of his greatest examples of this is one I don't think you've done yet. Ren's remake of Fisher's Losing It. tbh- I don't like edm either, but my god- what he does with it- the video- the switch ups- it's creative liberties at it's peak form. Supposedly not your thing or mine, but... one of his absolute bests.

I'm 54 and hadn't really gotten into rap or hip hop other than casually. Ren's opened things up for me but what's really opened things up is because I'm getting into reactors and folks like you are helping me to really learn. So, yep... I'm new and learning but I appreciate getting to learn from people who know more and can help me find more.

I was rocking to Oasis and Blur in the 90s Eminem, tu pac in the naughties And recently getting down with stormzy and Ren all great artists and it's eclectic. A lot of British people love various genres from dance to hip hop to rock Come to England and try see a festival 🤘 I remember when J z played wonder wall because one of the Gallagher brothers said hip hop shouldn't be the headline act

I grew up on classic rock, almost exclusively (in my 50s now). Hip hop is new to me, and I've really appreciated the unbiased view you give to his music. I've actually gotten pretty good at guessing what you'll like or not. If you still want to learn guitar, I'm in West Texas (not sure where you are). All the free lessons you want!

I was only a hip hop fan via Beastie Boys, Diggable Planets, Tribe Called Quest. THEN I saw Harry Mack. He was really the transition for me where I started to get interested in older school stuff like MF Doom and just exploring more hip hop in general. I was then primed for Ren and dove in deep.

I'm a 70 year old Scotsman and was brought up listening to the Beatles, Rolling Stones and of course Motown was huge when I was in my late teens. I love Ren just as much for his personality/life story as I do for his vast catalogue of different genres. I can't say I like all the graphic sexual lyrics or sexual innuendo, but I can see past that because of his amazing talent and his ability to make almost any song sound like he poured all of his heart into it. Btw, I started off not liking your style of reaction, but being an extremely patient person I persevered and am now enjoying your videos so, keep up the great work my friend. I just decided to sub to the channel so don't go letting me down, OK!!😉😉😉

I'm in my 40s now and growing up loved hip hop. 2 PAC, Biggie , dre, snoop, big pun, Eminem etc. Went off listening to hip hop in the mid 2000s. Thought most in this era till now was rubbish (although I like Kendrick). Since getting into ren I'm listening to all the old tunes again. It's been great. Rens rapping is different but most of his songs I love.

“We all just three year olds dressing ourselves” 😂 heard. Always been a fan of rap and hip hop, didn’t find Ren through that though. Hi Ren punched me in the gut in December and started watching his stuff with The Big Push after that before following his hip hop releases this year for the Sick Boi album. So I don’t necessarily think of him as a rapper so much as I see him as a musician/singer/songwriter/storyteller that can absolutely rap and do so in unusual and unexpected ways.

Yes, hip hop fan before. From about 1992. Disposable Heroes of HipHoprisy's "Hypocrisy is the Greatest Luxury" was the first album that got me. That led to Public Enemy, Arrested Development, A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcide. I'm a white guy from Australia, so obviously Beastie Boys. After that things like Raury, Black Thought, Talib Kweli, Childish Gambino, and a bunch of Australian hip hop artists.

I was a hip-hop fan before Ren. I think the UK experience is a bit different from the US. There is a huge Jamaican influence here and while I did listen to US hip-hop... There is a huge influence from Jamaica in my experience with the entire dancehall/reggae/soundsystem culture. I started out DJ'ing in the 90's with Jungle/Drum & Bass, then House music, then Garage, then Grime, then what you would call more 'UK hip-hop'. But there has always been a background of the US legends. But I think the lived experience of most people in the UK is a bit more eclectic (at least with people into music) I can remember rocking Barrington Levey when I was about 8 lol and was a white boy in a small town. I think Ren attracts fans of music because he is insanely talented in so many ways and is relatable in so many ways, and also helps others.

I always said I loved rap, as long as I didn't have to listen to it. A link on Twitter to TBP doing Wade in the Water hooked me. I'm 62 and stayed stuck in classic rock forever. At first I wasn't big on Ren's rapping, it slowly grew on me and I feel like I should check out other hip hop now, but so far the little bits I've heard bore me after Ren.

I was a hip-hop fan before I heard of Ren. Born in '85. I guess Eminem was maybe my introduction to rap? From there listened to Tupac, NWA, Wu-Tang, DMX among others from the classic hip hop scene. I think have a diverse musical taste, ranging from heavy rock/metal to cheesy pop to opera etc. I'm from the UK though so grime, jungle and drum n bass were massively in there as well. I get why there are certain songs that you don't like or can't get down with. I think it's possibly a culture thing. I remember you didn't really like classic grime when you started listening to UK music. And I think aside from $ui€ide most of the Ren joints you've disliked have had more of an EDM beat. I may be wrong but I love your reactions anyways Kso. Big love

Go through phases hard with music, just get really into a genre for a couple years til I wear it out Had a hip hop phase a long time ago, back for round two mostly because of Harry Mack and Ren. And let’s be honest, it’s mostly H Mack, Ren I just appreciate as an all around artist. Might be a short lived phase though, cuz I don’t have the depth of knowledge to know where to go to next when there’s so much hip hop I can’t connect with

I grew up with Wyclef, Tupac, Missy Elliot, Eminem etc. I switched off from most rap and hip hop in the early 2000's, it just stopped grabbing my attention, felt stale. Ren has definitely brought me back to it and hopefully I'll find some stuff from other artists that I'd missed. Obviously it's all personal preferences and opinions at the end of the day, but I feel that hip hop needs people like Ren to give it a shock to the system every now and then.
