If you ever need something to pump you up, this is the one.

BTS back then was HUNGRY. There also was a bit of desperation back then. Some people say that now they became soft, but I disagree. Now there is comfort, resilience, and confidence and I love that for them.

You know our boys come through with bars. Suga said “don’t worry if you start with us from the beginning our debut is when you discovered us!”(paraphrasing). I’ve been army for two years and I use to get sad that I didn’t join their journey from the start but I’m still catching up on content and I watch them religiously. Lol. 💜💜

Best rapline. Period. Writers, composers, producers and performers. And yes with over 300 songs, official mvs, behind the scene footage, award show performances, live music show performances, RUN BTS, in the Soop, Bon Voyage and so much more.

The thing is they ARE solo rap artists. They all pursue their own rap careers alongside and while being in BTS. Agust D is wrapping up his solo World tour right now.

My favorite English bar is J Hope asking "you want to be my life" followed by RM and Suga expanding on the question twice calling out "want to be" in a double entendre literally maligning the critics for how feeble the careers are.

What’s extra crazy is Suga was even sick here feverish and a bit congested you can hear but still came hard. They actually can go even harder but this performance is legendary. Nothing like tens of thousands screaming “I love myself”💜💜💜 And yes it’s ridiculous how overpowered the BTS rapline is. All 3 have absolutely slayed as soloists. Part of is they worked teaching and playing off each other making each other stronger.

Best Rap line in the world ! "anyone of the 3 could be a solo rap artist", you said. True, and in fact, They ARE all 3 successful solo rap artist Lol ! RM Live in Seoul at the Rolling Hall; J Hope headline night at Lollapalooza (legendary ! ) and Suga/Agust D solo DDay tour (I just watch his Seoul concert on line , and I'm still recovering from my emotions... ) . These 3 make me love rap, and for an old rock lady like me, it was not expected !

Even if the English translations cannot accurately explain the masterful wordplay & use of idiomatic expressions specific to Korean language, one gets the gist. But it would really be incredible to know and appreciate an exact translation of the Korean lyrics complete with the deeper sociocultural, use of vocabulary or homonyms and literary context or reference.

I am OT7 but this rap line sureley has a special place in my heart. They are fire. And ARMY is fire too. We love rap as much as a good pop song

I can tell Lamar really loved this one! I love how hype y’all got. Cypher 3 is my favorite. Since they only rapped 1 verse each from cyphers 1-3, I still think you should react to those with the lyrics because it’s worth it!

I admit it was a struggle in the day. Other rappers in Korea making fun of their clothes because they didn't have money for designer clothing. RM was told that he was too ugly to be an Idol or to perform on stage. I think these Cyphers answers the HATERS. Also, These Cyphers gives me power when I need it to succeed through my life. Watched J-hope at Lollapalooza & Suga’s D-day in NY and both were amazing an unforgettable live performance experiences. OT7 are so gifted they can be by themselves and strongest as a group💜💜💜💜

Such a hype performance and amazing tracks to listen to when you just want to get that pumped vibe. I'm so glad Lamar found a way to be able to watch content with flashing lights. I was worried about him maybe accidentally seeing content like that in compilations or something but it's good that you guys found something to help. I never noticed until how many flashing lights are used in BTS concerts and even our ARMY bombs when they flash in the crowd. Now that I think about it, most of my fave and the most iconic performances tend to have lots of flashing lights like the end of MMA 2019 and this.

I waited so long to see this reaction & you didn't disappoint. Stank face, head banging, shouting w/ the army call responses. When I first watched this I wished that US could experience and see another side to the artform, but w/o the beef & violence. Also, the bilingual rhyming and wicked cadences. Also how another country honored their own struggles as we did using the artform. Rap and hip hop grew to the globe as well as R&B and Soul. 2025 hope they do a Cypher for their 2025 concert & hope to see the clips of you going to it.

Some of those lines refer to underground rappers who were critical of Suga and RM early in their career. They belittled and demeaned them because they were idols.

Idk why I thought Ddaeng was a part of this but the rap line is crazy good. You should definitely check out explanations of some of their songs, esp because they do A LOT of word play that we end up missing unless native speakers explain it. When you hear the explanations there’s a whole new appreciation for this literal art

Yea Suga's verse saying "Y'all play underground while BTS plays above the ground" go hard considering the shyt he and RM got from the Korean underground community for joining BTS. Many krappers talk the talk without walking the walk. As you said, there are definitely levels to this, and it hits hard writing verses like that while actually hitting those levels irl with proof. BTS rap line really do the shyt they be saying and as an avid rap fan I'm here for it.

I became Army late 2016, thank goodness I only had to go back just over 3 years, but even that was already alot of content in just 3 years...Im way caught up now, but they still have unseen videos from debut days and they have unreleased music, the anthology album Proof, had unreleased music even from their early years, so we know the company is going to be releasing content when they are all in service. They just released "Take Two", it was recorded before Jin enlisted.....
