American professor finds new home in China
Mark Levine, an American professor at Minzu University of China in Beijing, is a winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, the highest award to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive.
Through writing songs and books, he presents the world with a real and vivid image of China. Since he came to China in 2005, he has visited places across the country, made friends with Chinese people, and learned many touching stories.
During his nearly 20 years in China, the American professor has dedicated himself to serving as a bridge between China and the United States, sharing messages of peace and friendship.

    Not only that, but prof is a very unbiased person. Race and color are not in his lens, not many people can do that. Even though there are so many things going around between US and China. Hope more people can see more of the real China. Visit China today. China is NOT a hostile aggressive country. After WW2, they have not fired a single bullet at any country, maybe it is exaggerated. But my point is China has not been to a war since WW2

    American kids ambition are to be KZreadrs whereas the kids in China has ambitions to be scientists. Therefore it’s more gratifying to teach in China.

She made this wise move in 2016, knowing Western media would be biased while reporting on China. Self-reliance and self-sufficiency are what China seeks. Foreigners who live in China seem happy with the Chinese system, and those who are not happy left the country telling bad stories about China. Are they succeeding? No!Much to be said is that only the ignorant would be led by ignorance.

    He writes Chinese calligraphy. Given that foreigners tend to consider Chinese easier to speak than to read and write, I'm guessing it should be no problem for him to speak Chinese.
