Geez. How did the American destroyers and escort destroyers stay afloat carrying all the massive brass balls those crews had?

These ships were batting so far above their league. I have been a reader of the PTO since i learned how to read. It's why I joined the Navy. And when overseas, whenever I saw one of our escorts, from the flight deck of my carrier, the USS Forrestal, it was always a Spruance class destroyer, a big grin came to my face & a prayer that they never had to prove their bravery like these destroyers & destroyer escorts did. These men were the epitome of bravery. RIP & God bless you men. Fair winds & following seas shipmates. 🫡 🇺🇸

Nice picture. Fletcher class? You should label these at least with ship class.

The intensity of the battle is difficult to follow as the writer skips between ships and the Navy pilots.

The AI voice had a very interesting pronunciation of sarsaparilla, as in "sarsaparilla soda". This is actually still sold. I bet nobody has a clue what it tastes like.

It amazes me that the AI still has pronunciation problems.

Particularly since the AI could easily be programmed with the correct pronunciation from the phonetic description in any dictionary. It shouldn't be that difficult.
