    Justin, NICE improvisation on the vocals...!! I like it. I saw Don McLean in 1971 in North Andover, Massachusetts. He was the GREATEST solo act I've seen in all my 20 years...(at that time!). Now I'm 71, and still haven't changed my opinion!

    I remember the day i sent you an email years ago on your site requesting this song and a couple of weeks later there it was.     I'm so amused at the way you sing the chord names in place of the lyrics. I've been teaching full time for over 30 years, and I thought I was the only person who did that. It's a really great tool. Nice job on the first favorite song I ever had when I was 6 years old.

    Justin, I am a great fan of yours, but after listening a lot the record and live performances I am pretty sure the strumming pattern is not like you say, but more simply a continuous pattern. And it works better!

    Hi Justin! Really like your policy if making outstanding vids on printed songbooks, thanks a lot! Please give me advice: I can play about 10 songs along the originals, and got stuck repeating them, cannot enforce myself to learn new, simply have no daily time. What is the best way to keep old songs in memory and learning new, a question about best routine for students like me?

    Do you know the last chorus? How the song ends. The one video I watch of it live by Don McLean he sings and plays the chorus twice at the end and the last time is slightly different Don’t know if he just slows down? Do u know what I’m talking about

    Hey! Great video man and I'm not hating or anything but i found it very confusing when you started going offtrack from the song (embelishments, other ways of playing the chords, etc) I had to restart the video many times to find where i got lost. Aside from that, awesome playing and amazing song :)

    +Shawn Neal Hey I know I'm WAY LATE but it's easier when you listen to the song over and over and over and can remember the entire song, lyrics, chords, everything This is definitely one of the harder songs I've learned and I gave up on it for like 6 months and listened to it at least 500 times during that 6 months

    The lyrics are a bit off at parts, the purposeful prolonging is off from the original, and sounds really weird.
