American Museum of Natural History: Everything You Need to Know About Your Visit!

The American Museum of Natural History is located at 79th street and Central Park West between 77th and 81st streets on the Upper West side of Manhattan. This the largest natural history museum in the world! Founded in 1869, the entire museum spans four city blocks and consists of 25 interconnected buildings. Around 5 million people visit the museum each year.
Open daily from 10 AM to 5:30 PM (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas Day), there are a variety of ticket options.
If you are a non-resident, adult tickets cost $28 plus the cost of special exhibits. As a resident of NY, NJ, or CT, tickets are pay as you wish unless you choose to visit a ticketed exhibition.
