I know my dad crashed at least two and my uncle three them being A. 1969 Chevy Impala sedan with a 327 B. 1975 Oldsmobile 442 Then my uncle's which was A. 1970 Chevy Impala with a 454 truck motor shoved into it B. 67 mustang fastback with a 289 swapped in C. 62 falcon ranchero with the same 289 and a four speed Sadly all of them are destroyed but my uncle still has that 289 that he's working on getting into a 79 mustang coupe

Most racers get warranty on their car parts so they can return the turbo cams injector etc they dropped 15k on and scrap the car they spent 2k on buy a new car then put them fresh 15k$ parts on it

Kinda a working theory that the reason a lot of mustangs (and camaros and chargers) get wrecked is there are a lot of young guy's first rwd, v8 car. 450hp is a lot different, a lot less forgiving, when it's going to the rear wheels rather than the front. Personally, I see in this video a ton of people overreacting and whipping the car around until is slides into something.

some of the issues are caused by bad drivers, mustangs are unstable soap demons, you need high experience in slippery cars to know how to stop it from turning it's way into total loss, or a big cash wound in your wallet while doing a burnout.

My brothers were gear heads, cars, trucks, bikes, go-karts, boats, you name it, everything had to go fast and could be made to go faster. They never wrecked anything.

Back in 2012 I witnessed a Mustang Driver trying to show off next to me while I was driving my R1 bike returning from a date with my girlfriend. After he did a burnout in a stop light trying to race he crashed into a light post and I can tell you not his wallet, not his car or himself was as hurt as his pride and ego when I laughed hysterically at his misfortune, it didn't help that I returned to the site 3 times each time laughing harder.

I know some Corvettes are prone to overheating but that’s a bit much!
