Sammmm! I adore you❤Thank you for allowing me to experience first hand your life in The Netherlands. I can only describe it as gezellig!! Thank you, to all the wonderful compliments from your subscribers. It’s only a continuous reflection of the warmth and kindness I received from all those I encountered in the the Netherlands. The rain didn’t put a damper on my experience. I enjoyed everything the day had to bring. I will journey back in the future. Until then, I will treasure the memories we made together on and off camera. ❤ mom

It's been great to see you showing the Netherlands to your mother. Reminds me of the first time my Filipino father in law visited the Netherlands in 1997. Since then he has visited us regularly ( > 15 times) and every time I enjoyed him enjoying to be here. Whenever we had a trip planned he was the first waiting at the car in his smartest outfit. We visited most countries of Europe with him and our children and he loved every moment at every place. Sadly he passed away 2 years ago... enjoy the time with your family and enjoy life together

This is so lovely to see! I am so glad your mother liked the experience and for you to have been able to show her around. My son (he is 25) moved to Switzerland last year and I visited him two times. That was so nice, him showing me around in his new country. I also wanted to get a view of his daily live and went to the supermarket with him. Just the normal things, that made my image complete. Besides that we visited several cities and walked up mountains, it is a beautiful country. Now when we talk on facetime - he ususally calls when he is on a walk, I see his village and recognise it, that is so nice!

So amazing your mom visited! 😄
If the fishshop owner asks you if you want to have onions with the haring respond with this:"Does it need it?" /// Als de visboer vraagt of je uitjes bij de haring wilt reageer dan met "Heeft ie het nodig?". Cause in the early days haring would remain in the barrel for so long that it would get saltier as time past. The onion helped with that saltiness so hence, haring and onions combo :). Big difference to is like if you visit friends here you get invited in for a cup of coffee or a drink like on the spot. You dont have that in America, often the response is "it doesnt fit their schedule" but will invite you some other time. Also in America you basicly live to work, you got to be standby like 24/7 and also in the holidays. Here in the Netherlands its the other way around, we work to live, working in the holidays? no way :). working less with more pay? yes please! America should copy our trafficlight systems to, especially in the city's. No more waiting when there is nobody around and instantly green lights.
