Marvel is based on the comics but brahmastra is based on the real mythology texts which is just mind blowing .... india has the plenty of beautiful mythology stories if each and every movie starts to began on the hindu mythology .... then it will surely be a greater multiverse then Hollywood ever seen.

This movie started 9 years ago, the lead actor & actress Don't Know each other and now movie completed, they are now married couple. They are used only 300 crores, so no comparison with Marvel, DC.

@DenaeLife the story is going according to the Hindu Scriptures were at first the Nagas (the snake people) who were shown as Evil people who were against Shiva and end up becoming followers of Shiva in the end.

Moni roi character that women with red type energy n looks evil is having an astra called Kalnagastra (demonic snake weapon) . In the movie she will be after the bhramstra. She is also called as the Queen of Darkness. N she is a character based on our ancient hindu character. Not influence by any western commercial superhero franchise. That cosmis bull is nandi. She is the guard of Lord Shiva.

So there are 2 kinds of Weapons geneology in Hinduism: Astra and Shastra. Astras are divine weapon that are incurred by reciting mantras or chants. You have to leave the Astra or project it to your opponent. However Shastra are the weapons which are used to attack your opponent being in your hand. You just have to swing it. Like a mace or Parshu. etc..... The one basic thing to know about is that there are three most powerful weapon in Hinduism- Brahmastra, Narayanastra & Pashupatastra (having powers of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva respectively). The tales mention Brahmastra as an Astra(weapon) powerful enough to destroy the whole universe. Hence only handful warriors/Gods poses it.

This movie plot is basically taken from various ancient Indian Hindu texts. and Bhramastsra is considered as the ultimate weapon only few warrior was supposed to have knowledge and skill to operate it..

Well aside from that there will be many Astras that will appear in the trilogy and prominent ones that are shown in the trailer are 1st - Nandi Astra (The bluish Cow figure that appears in the initial moments of the trailer) then 2nd is Ganesha Astra ( the bluish coloured shield that we see in the later part of the trailer) and there ae others too

Hopefully you've had a chance to see this in a theatre by now. My wife and I went opening weekend and just had a blast. Everything was wonderful. I particularly enjoyed the central love story which was presented so free of the neurosis marbled through the love stories in western movies. Just a joy from start to finish. p.s. my wife and are in our 60's and were warned we might like ear plugs...saved our butts as this was by far the loudest movie I've ever been too. But still a joy!
