I cannot justify paying $300 for a doll I feel I can only display and not play with! For that amount of money, I would be horrified if she was messed up in the slightest! I do want to get something from Claudie's new releases, though.❤ I'm happy to see something she can wear everyday besides her meet outfit! She's so beautiful and deserves attention! I wouldn't pay $115.00 for the Disney dolls. What were they thinking???? I am rather disappointed in AG right now. I love the historical dolls and think it's sad that AG seems to ignore them!

I agree that they shouldn’t overshadow Claudie she’s the cutest doll ever released but the princess dolls are so pretty and I have a feeling they’ll sell out. They look really pretty!

"I would rather fill up my gas tank" 😂 Yup. The birthstone collection is SO not my thing at all, though I can appreciate the fun/funky energy of some of the designs (April, November, even June). The Disney dolls are each gorgeous in their own ways. But I am absolutely NOT shelling out for any of them. Claudie's collection is the true star of this release and I want everything. 😅

I agree with you on wanting more of the sets for the historical dolls! Kirsten is my favorite doll and I had always wanted her as a little girl, and finally got her as an adult. BUT... now I can't find her any accessories because so rare and expensive. They need to bring back Kirsten and accessories, true American Girl fans OG love Kirsten. You have an awesome channel that myself and daughters really enjoy ;)

I love both new outfits for Claudie! It's about time!!!! I don't like the birthstone outfits at all! Tacky outfits and big price tags! The Halloween outfits are repeats of the years before and boring!

The Disney dolls are so much, so expensive, so beautiful, and so overwhelming for anyone who might want one. I love all three. My favourite is Belle, but they are all gorgeous. I just can't spend that much on any of them.

I completely agree with all of your points. I LOOOVE Claudie’s new outfits, especially the travel outfit and am so disappointed that she was yet again overshadowed. It even bothered me that her new outfits were listed second on the promo email I got. My husband did get me the Rapunzel doll so I’m looking forward to getting her, although I will likely sell her outfit. I’m not a fan of the crystals as I think they make the outfit look more cheap than expensive. For that reason I think the birthstone outfits look cheap too. I would definitely be curious to see them in person.

Omg yes I noticed that about Claudies new release too ! So disappointing and I understand that gems do make the outfits look cheap I really wish they would stop doing that ! I guess it was somewhat necessary though since it’s Disney but you’ll definitely get to make some money off the outfit which is nice since many people really wanted to buy just the outfit alone ! 😊

You said it! 😂❤ I do not understand why AG overshadows Claudie every time with a new release days after her or her collection. 😢 More historical outfits for the whole line of existing historical girls is fire! 🔥🙌🫶 The historical girls are what made so many of us collectors in the first place! I wanted to really love the Birthstone collection 😕 Love Sapphire/September too! February baby myself (not loving that clear plastic coat but the shoes are cute😂) I also like Peridot with the right doll. I can see your point on October. Those Disney dolls are so gorgeous! I was a bit surprised with their choice too, but I loved who they picked too! Belle has been my all time favorite. She was willing to look past the exterior and I love that she told Adam like it was with his bad manners and temper 😂❤ So I’d definitely get her but alas $$$ 🤑 I can’t justify that price for one doll 😔 Another awesome video! I hope one day American girl learns what we all truly want with the historical dolls ! I also really wanted to love the birthstone outfits and even with the outfits I do like I still don’t love that price so most likely won’t be buying any of them !:( bell is so gorgeous I’ve been seeing her more on AGIG and I keep falling more in love if only we would all afford her ☹️I wish there was a way for us all the have her !! 💗💗

I know what you mean about hat hair but I still love hats on the dolls! The birth stone line is “ok”. I am happy that my month, February, is an outfit that I think is cute. The orange one is also good and the diamond ensemble is very extra. Still I probably won’t purchase any. Your detailed descriptions of the outfits are awesome. Thank you!

Yeah I wish Mattel would make new historically accurate clothing for the older dolls. After all when they released the original five anniversary dolls, didn't they sell out...fast? I just watched a video on Josephina's collection and the accessories/clothing were so well made. (not for kids) the detail!

Why do we never get historical stuff anymore except pajamas? We really need more. Claudie looks good in everything and her new stuff is wonderful. I keep thinking that they didn’t even want to make Claudie but felt pressured by the author who wanted to make the doll? It’s weird and makes no sense how they keep burying her.

Excellent video, Emma! I am definitely buying all of Claudie's new outfits, but I'm not going to buy anything else. Some of the birth month outfits are okay, but I'm not in love with any of them. Rapunzel should have had green eyes!! I'm not going to be buying any of them either.

My favorite birthstone outfit is October. Pink is my favorite color. But at $52, I'll wait and see if I have rewards or a sale price this fall. I love Rapunzel but she should have green eyes. Next favorite is actually Jasmine. I'm not a fan of the collector dolls in general because they are too expensive. And the Claudie outfits are really cute! The polka dot dress is darling. The historical line sure could use some new outfits. I agree that is where I'd rather see the company concentrate their efforts.

This is the fastest I have ever you heard you talk! You did great! I know you wanted to fit everything in and you did and you were perfectly understandable. Quick and to the point. :) Claudie's items are WONDERFUL and everything else is WAY overpriced. I won't be buying any of this. If I had Claudie, I would definitely buy her new dress, but I don't have her. I do think she's lovely and I would love to add her to my collection some day. Maybe next year. :) I do love the Velveteen Rabbit, but it's too much money for something that isn't a doll and is just going to sit around. I would rather spend money on doll clothes. no bc they just did 4 collection releases basically in the same week. the halloween outfits, the disney dolls, claudine’s stuff, and the birthstone stuff. also why did they release her christmas stuff in august. it’s giving rushed. it’s giving extra. treat my girl claudie with respect ag😭

So much new items at the same time! But, it wasnt hard to know what to purchase and what to leave behind. I ordered Claudie's new items as they are so cute and not a bad price! Birthstone collection is saving me money, I'm not getting any of them,$52 dollars are they kidding!! The disney dolls are a big NO for me, too expensive, and the outfits to me look like the outfits the $20 disney dolls wear.Very underwhelmed and i was so excited to see the August doll, i hope September is better. Great video!!!

I agree with you. They released so much at once it’s overwhelming. I’m honestly glad I don’t like anything but Claude’s things. It’s better for my wallet 😅

I’m autistic, my two main special interests are American girl and Disney… my mom had me order all three and I’m getting Rapunzel and Belle for my birthday later in the month. I’m not a fan of Jasmine so she bought Jasmine for her self. As for the birthstone collection, I am of the opinion they are exceptionally overpriced, and the August outfit is not my style at all. So I sewed my own, it only cost $5 since I already had most of the materials.

I agree that Ariel would've been a nice choice. The new one,not the original. And Tiana. I agree that Jasmine's face doesn't fit the doll. Not sure I'd go with Nanea though. Maybe the older Sonali facemold. Maybe even the Addy facemold.I think American Girl shouldn't have changed the facemolds. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I think Claudie’s travel set is so freaking cute! I don’t really like the birthstone collection I think it’s looks cheap, overpriced and not my style! I really love the Disney dolls! I would love to add Rapunzel to my collection she’s just so pricey!

Honestly, if I’m gonna drop 300$ on a current doll, I’m gonna buy the FAO Schwarz Swarovski doll they’ve got that looks like a toy soldier. I have good memories of FAO Schwarz and I love the outfit. But, I am also a history and culture nerd, so I’m disappointed they keep neglecting the historical (though I’m thankful for the Molly and Kit pre-BeForever products out) and that they haven’t added anything else to the cultural celebrations since the Día de Muertos outfit was released

In complete agreement with everything you said in this video. I will save my money rather than spend it on Birthstone outfits at $52 each. Pretty bad overall. And I am not tempted by the Halloween outfits either. I already put in my order for almost all of Claudie's stuff. AG must know how we feel about it. That's where my money went.

I won't be buying the Disney dolls. One the price and two, I don't like any of them. If I were to spend that kind of money, I'd buy the Hogwarts Express, which I want so badly. But $550.00 is ridiculous for a mostly PLASTIC piece, and I honestly have no room for it.
