South Africa is family constructed and I am not being biased because i am South African. Your kids will never be lacking for fun activities because wherever you go you'll always find something centered for children of any age. Chances are that any fun ventures your children enjoy in the USA will be available for them in South Africa. Be it game centers, water parks, skating rings, aquariums, theme parks, the sailing academy , planetary and digital dome, treetop playgrounds and so forth.

Sun City is the holiday destination in the movie "Blended family" featuring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.. it's very expensive so my family has personally never stayed in the resort itself..we usually camp at Pilanesburg which is just on the other side of Sun City..the game reserve is shared 😊 we do day trips to Sun City for the water fun

The Atlantis in the Bahamas was built by Sol Kerzner after he left South Africa and is based on a similar concept to the Sun City complex you are watching here. Kerzner was also involved in the original Sun City complex.

amphitheater for shows. boardwalk up the hill. video fast forwarded. on the other side of that lake is the pilansberg game reserve. all of the big five there. sun city and the lost city is basically a gambling joint set in a jungle like setting. it has the waterpark with a wave pool, the gardens, some activities for kids, some shows, movie theatres. something like a las vegas set-up.

The color of that water is just the paint or whatever they decided to go with, south african Companies or resort will never advertise or push subpar quality especially to international visitors.

Sun City is a must go when you this side of the country 🤩🤩🤩

That's the Sun City Resort. It has a huge golf course too. Where international golf tournaments have been held before. There's more to see. You need to experience it in order to enjoy it

Fun Fact about Sun City, that not many South Africans even know: #1 Sun City was inspired by an Ancient African Lost City (some say it was in Kgalagadi/Kalahari), which many people have seeked for well over a century. Elon Musk's maternal grandparents also attempted to find its lost treasures (and loot them perhaps? Let me behave) in the 50's. When Sun City was extended, and more hotels were added, one such hotel would be named "Palace of the Lost City". #2 Sun City was built in Bophuthatswana because gambling in that country/bantustan was legal, while it was illegal in apartheid Suid Afrika (except horse racing, which they didn't consider gambling). #3 Sun City has always been not only a South African go to destination, but international (especially during Bophuthatswana heydeys). Worlds biggest musicians would perform there, world championship boxing matches, sports events (golf). It is quite sad that South Africa as a whole could never reproduce a place built under a far poorer country in 1979!

Interesting, I never knew that fact about horse racing and gambling. But yes from what I hear Bop was run really well under Mangope and company. We should give NW province back to them or to Botswana, because South Africa is making a hash of it clearly

the water is not dirty its a them of a lagoon so they make the flow greean to give it an effect

Oprah winfrey also loves staying at this place it's huge the video didn't really show you much ,there's water slides,casino, mall with restaurantsand fast foods, movie theaters, game drives, there's a venue for concerts and award shows etc..... it has a lot to offer me and my partner go the atleast 2-3 times a year

The water that looks foggy it's the paint so that it's resembles the real river... otherwise the water is clean and totally safe😃

Sun City is my second home. Would be there every weekend as we lived in Rustenburg, which is about 40 min from Sun City. It holds many memories for me.

This resort isa small town on its own. You travel by car bus or rail to get to the different areas. Very cool holiday resort. The best part for me as a kid was the game arena

Suncity would be perfect for your family to visit. It is has a lot. Different hotels with different prices options and family hotels. Entertainment for both children and adults. Games, cinema, restaurants, shopping stores water park. Casino and much more.

This video was just a tease, they did not show you everything about Sun City Resort.

water color depends on paint colour.

That last one is a zip line they have jet skis at the lake they have so so so much there.. there is affordable accommodation there aswell they have shuttles all over that take you to the casion/ mall areas.. there are cinemas buffet eating areas all types of fast food i mean there is a bit of everything there i have been going once a year for many many years.

This video didn't do the resort justice fr, I've been here twice and I truly can't describe it to you. It's one of those you have to see it to believe it type things.

We a 2 hour drive from The Sun City resort. In a small town in the NW province the last time we visited was 5 yrs ago for as birthday weekend gifted from my sister to for niece and nephew and myself as our birthdays to a few days apart. The wave pool I have no words 😂🌊

Average temperatures are around 85°F throughout the summer and can reach 90°F on a really hot day, it is quite hot there😅.

The lagoon water comes from lakes, waterfalls and rivers passing so it's literally nature's water.

It's a amphitheatre where a lot of festivals are held

U guys should come in December it’s the best time to visit South Africa

Literally everywhere you go in South africa there will be something fun for the children too.

Sun City Resort is bigger than what you were shown there

I WORK HERE!!! ❤ We have 5 Hotels , and Chalets in the resort. The video doesn't do the place justice at all. We have lots of activities you can do as a family. There is Waterworld, Valley of Waves (that's a man made beach), 2 creches, you can leave the kids if you'd like some private time. Game trackers, zip sliding, etc the mini "stadium" you saw, can host wedding, private parties etc. The Palace is where Michael Jackson ans the who's who used to stay when they came over!

You are correct to say you feel like there is more to explore. As much as the video is beautiful, it did not do justice to the beauty of Sun City. There are a whole lot of activities to do there. Water sport, valley of the waves, Casino, golf, 5 start hotels, restaurants, longest zipline in the country at 2km(speed of up to 120km/h), hot air ballooning, the maze and many others.

The last part in the video is a zip slide where u can see the whole resort. I grew up 15 min away from there and have been going to sun city for close to 30 years. What the video doesn't include is you can go for a game drive. Its in close proximity to Pilanesberg national park and they also have a giant maze for the whole family to try and navigate through. They fun activities too for the whole family.

Sun City used to be cool but now it’s dilapidated and dirty. Got food poisoning on the breakfast . Rather go to the Kruger .

Oh if you guys want to see allot. You have to be willing to walk allot and drive allot, wish I could be your tour guide 😂 5:28 An amphitheatre, a show or song would be performed in the middle while everyone sits around I swam in a waterfalls pool, not deep, up on the mountain side. It's cold 😁
