Wait whut. They had rubberized blankets in the 1860? In comparison the first gun that used plastic parts came about 80 years later.

Cocky doesn't come from having the hat at a 'cocked angle', it comes from "cock (“male domestic chicken”) +‎ -y (suffix forming adjectives with the sense of ‘having the quality of’)"

Where did you get the uniform?

Numerous places to get my uniform. The best one stop shop is going to be Wambaugh & White Co for most uniform items. Forage caps there are numerous makers. Try Goober Grabber/Avery Miller. Brogans go to South Union Mills. Leathers and haversacks check out LD Haning. Hope this helps.

@@TorryGood what were their purposes on war? Why most soldiers prefer shoes rather than boots or canvas gaiters during the civil war?

@flatearthisahoax4030 the soldiers were issued boots.. I do not know if only some soldiers were issued the gaiters or not. The gaiters prevent dirt and other items from coming in side. Soldiers wore ankle boots with gaiters till the end of the korean War.

It depends on what each regiment was outfitted during the war, the majority of regiments in the American Civil War were volunteer, so Colonels would usually outfit their regiments. Some good examples include the 149th Pennsylvania & 39th New York. Hopefully this answers your question@@flatearthisahoax4030

@@TorryGoodThey were issued brogans, although I have seen a few enlisted soldiers wear boots, although that seems to be more common in the western theater.

They wore "trousers". I thought Americans used the term pants, trousers being an English term?

trousers were said back in the day in the U.S. usually, and on official military documents about the uniform they're referred to as trousers I believe
