Last week I took my Shahada. I am still trying to learn everything and yes I might get a few things wrong but I have friends who are Muslim and I do ask questions. The morning I told my friends that I had reverted to Islam, the outpouring of love from a group of 8 Muslim women... Kind of hard to explain exactly how it felt.

Muslims remind me of Job from the Bible. Despite being tested by God in every way, even after losing literally everything, they still thank and praise God. I have never seen Jews or Christians do this.

I also found Islam to be close to the Catholic faith with one exception. Jesus is not God. Jesus said, pray to the God I pray to. I found the truth. Islam is the true and last revelation.

Not just one exception, there are many. I come from a catholic family. Theres the statues, the cross as a symbol, the mass, the eucharist, adoration of mary, intercession of the saints, then 7 sacraments. Alot of these things pushed me away because it didnt make sense anymore

Piece and blessings be upon all seekers of truth🤲🏿. As a revert, it is true that all the questions and gaps that I had growing up as a southern baptist was COMPLETELY filled by Islam. The main one was, once I understood who Prophet Issa (AS) actually was and not who I was taught I needed him to be, that void deep down inside (all the reverts know what I’m talking about)was finally filled. I converted to Islam a long time ago realizing that all the Prophets, master's of the humans, taught to worship one God and when I converted, I found the high love and respect for Jesus and Mother Mary. Incredible. Muslims will not use Jesus name in vain ever and Islam teaches to love and respect God and to not disrespect any of the Prophets like Jesus. Muslims go so far in respect for religion that they (we) don't throw religious materials in the trash like anything containing God's names or Prophets names or things that God honored like Angels etc...and not to throw religious materials on the ground, and not sit on them nor point your feet to them and other examples.

AN EVERLASTING COVENANT IN FLESH for the believers till the end of times 👉 PREACHED that his followers follow the comprehensive Law Code which the Scribes and the Pharisees tell people to follow - that includes oblution / washing of the hands and feet before worship or entering a place of worship Of course the term the Father in the Jewish context. NOT that God has a Son.

As a muslim father, I can tell you more about mother Mary (Mariam); I hope my daughters will be as pure, sincere, and shy as Mariam. Each time when I read in Qur’an how she was giving birth to Prophet Isa (Jesus) (PBUH) and she was alone I feel very sorry for her but I understand how strong and faithful to Allah she was. She has veery strong iman (faith). Hope Allah give us such strong faith! May Allah guide all of us to the straight path!

This is exactly what Muslim scholars always try to explain to the Christians but most of them keep denying even though it's found in their scripts..

@Angry Cat that's when you're wrong. In Islam, certain mazhab beliefs that music is haram but most Muslims followed Yusuf Qaradhawi's perspective on this where music is permitted by certain limitations. Islam is much vast than things you read online.

@Angry Cat Next, why did you mention a verse in that Surah only? Because the next verse will give you the context? 123. _Believers! Fight against the unbelievers who live around you;121 and let them find in you sternness.122 Know that Allah is with the God-fearing._ 124. _And whenever a new surah is revealed some of the _*_hypocrites_*_ ask the believers (in jest): "Whose faith has increased because of this?" As for those who believe, it will certainly increase their faith, and they are joyful over that._ 125. _But those whose hearts are affected with the disease (of hypocrisy), every new surah added a fresh abomination to their abomination. They remained unbelievers till their death._ Literally it said to fight those hypocrites among you, they're traitors. It never said about Christians or Jews or any other religion. It specify to hypocrites.

@Angry Cat That's why you need to learn more. It based on certain Hadith because there's no clear sayings in the Quran saying that music is haram. Islam did permit entertainment but up to several limitations. That's why I said, Islam is more vast than things you've read online.

@Angry Cat I never said they're not Muslims, they just take other perspectives to the matter. Some of our scholar permitted it and some don't. These all is based on Hadiths and what Muhammad pbuh did when he was alive.

Oh, Dear, you wasted your life. I converted to Christianity after understanding that Islam is darkness. Quran is the book of failed people, failed communities and failed countries. The latest addition is Afghanistan and Yemen. If you follow this book, failure is confirmed. Why? Because this book is not from GOD. If you look deep inside you can see SATAN hiding in the teachings of Muhamma, who came in the fake ID of Allah. The message of the Qur'an and Hadith is terrible, brutal and diabolical. Islam is a religion of oppression. It is against the peaceful existence of humankind. It is a cult. Mohammaden's cult. Islam stands against humanism, Islam stands against freedom of choice. Islam stands against women's rights. Islam stands against democracy. For the advancement of humanity, this cult should perish.

God of Bible spoke about one who deny Jesus as Son of God....as Liar! One who deny the sacrificial death of Jesus on cross ..... as Antichrist! 1John 2: 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. A good lier makes a lie seem like true. The Bible describes Satan as the father of lies. John 8:44 Jesus was the consummation of Gods plan for man to be saved and live eternally with Him. The Bible is clear that aside from faith in Jesus, no one can be saved. No need for more books. Even Paul warns against against others preaching a different gospel- a different message- by which man can be saved. 2 Corinthians 11:4 And he mentions that Satan himself can disguise as an Angel of light 2 Corinthians 11:14 When Jesus died the devil was defeated. He was done. Man could now be United with good trough the sacrifice of Jesus and the blood he shed. The message in that Muhammad wrote completely abolishes all that Jesus accomplished and brings a whole different gospel-message of salvation. A complete lie of the enemy -Satan- to keep millions of people away from salvation.

Imam Hartoyo - Not only is there a chapter named after Hazrat Maryam, (may Allah be pleased with her), and her father/family, but there are two others that honour/relate to Jesus Christ, (peace be upon him): Surah 5 - Al Maeda - refers to the Last Supper, and Surah 17 - Al-Isra - refers to his and her race, the Israelites.

After alot of study , I found the following: 1 - The prophet of Islam was never assigned as a king or prince over his followers, he was for them just a human prophet. 2 - he never start a war on others. He was always defending himself, his followers or his town from the attacks lunched by non Muslims. And most of the wars he fought it was just around his city. 3 - Muslim leaders or caliphs who fought other nations were only after they send ambassadors to the Roman's leaders in Levant and in Egypt also to the Persian rulers in Iraq and Central Asia asking them to preach Islam to their people and face rejection . And if they conquer any country they used to rule with fair and justice. People who were suffering from the Romans or the Persians accept Islam willingly after seeing how good were the new rulers. No inquisition was used by Muslims. It was sense , logic and relief from heavy taxation. Many countries surrender to Muslims like Yemen, Oman, Egypt , Sudan because the people their heard about the advantages they can have under the Muslims state. People from other faiths were left practicing their religion freely.

May Allah/God (in Arabic/English) bless you for finding the truth my brother. Muslims, Christians and Jews worship the same Allah/God/Ellah (in Arabic, English and Hebrew). Allah said in the Qur'an that he sent Moses (Musa, peace be upon him, in Islam) to save the Jews in Egypt then many years later Allah sent another prophet called Jesus (Isa, peace be upon him, in Islam, son of Mary, peace be upon her). Jesus (PBUH) was sent many years later to the Jews because the Jews at the time changed the Torah (Holy Book and the 10 commandments AKA Tawrat in Islam) that was given to Moses (PBUH). Jesus (PBUH) had a holy book called Injil (AKA the Bible in Christianity). In the Qur'an Allah said that the Christians changed the Injil/Bible, so the final messenger was sent to guide mankind to worship One God/Allah and that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the final messenger. Qur'an is the most updated after Torah/Tawrat and Bible/Injil. Just like the Bible was the updated version of Torah, same way the Qur'an is the updated version of the Bible. Allah was only guiding mankind as the human civilisation at the time was lost and misguided and required guidance. Allah then gave a new religious name after Judaism and Christianity and it is called Islam, which means PEACE✌️ ❤️

💯 agree. My godmother is Muslim and these people will stick to their values till their dying bed. The level of respect they show each other even outsiders is mind blowing. I’ll say extremist are about only 1-5% of the population but that’s what a lot of people focus on.

On an average 17 Christians are killed in the northern Nigeria on every day basis! Just few months back we so beheading of Samuel Paty in France! We saw Sri Lanka bomb attack in Church killing more than 300 innocent Christians! We saw beheading of Egyptian Coptic Christians on Libyan sea shore, just few years back! Most of above acts carried out shouting Allahu Akbar! Human sacrifices for Qureshi tribal God! All exactly as per Quran! Exactly following the best examples set by their prophet! Since when Muslims changed their Quran similar to Gospel of Jesus?

Jesus (peace be upon him) is a loved and esteemed man, a Prophet and Messenger, like other Prophets including Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Zakaria, John and Muhammad (peace be upon them) calling his people with similar message "to the worship of Allah". In the Quran, Allah spoke directly to Christians when He said: *O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.* (Sura Nisa 171) Jesus (peace be upon him) received Injil, which contained the Shari'ah, revealed to him. In it was the prohibition of associating partners with Allah. In it was the prohibition to consume the usurious gain, alcohol, pig meat, blood, and the meat of animals not slaughtered properly. It contained the order to perform the Prayer (with bowing and prostration) twice a day. It had the order to fast (but other than the month of Ramadan), and the order to perform taharah. Jesus (peace be upon him) came with a Shari'ah that contained making permissible some of the things which had been forbidden upon the children of Israel in the Tauraat. The Quran tells us that it is not possible for one person to bear the sins of another and that we are all responsible, before Allah, for our own actions. *Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another's burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.* (Sura Fatir 18) However, Allah, in His infinite Mercy and Wisdom has not abandoned mankind to their own devices. He has sent guidance and laws that reveal how to worship and live according to His commands. Muslims are required to believe in, and love all of the Prophets (peace be upon them); to reject one is to reject the creed of Islam. Jesus (peace be upon him) was but one in this long line of Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them), calling the people to worship Allah. He came specifically to the People of Israel, who had at that time gone astray from the straight path of God. Jesus (peace be upon him) said: *"'(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.* (Sura Imran 50) *"'It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.'"* (Sura Imran 51) Allah knew that if Mary (peace be upon her) tried to offer explanations, her people would not believe her. So, in His wisdom, he told her not to speak. From the first moment Mary (peace be upon her) approached her people they started to accuse her, but she wisely followed Allah’s instructions and refused to respond. This shy, chaste woman merely pointed to the child in her arms. The men and women surrounding Mary (peace be upon her) looked at her incredulously and demanded to know how they could possibly speak to a babe in arms. Then, by the permission of Allah, Jesus (peace be upon him), son of Mary, still a babe, performed his first miracle. He spoke: *He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;* (Sura Mariam 30) *"And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; * (Sura Mariam 31) *"(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; * (Sura Mariam 32) *"So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!* (Sura Mariam 33) *Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. * (Sura Mariam 34) Yes, it’s true we all believe in the same prophets of Allah. We believe in Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them). The holy Quran has chapter on Jesus and Mary (peace be upon them). We also believe, as mentioned in the holy Quran, Jesus (peace be upon him) will come back in this world. The Jews do not believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) and the western fake “Christians” namely roman catholics, protestants, sda, mormons, jehovah's witness, unity church, etc... don’t believe in Muhammad (peace be upon him). But we as mentioned in Quran believe in prophets from Adam to Abraham, Moses, Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon them) ultimately all three are same religion. Muslims believe Jesus (peace be upon him) was the slave of Allah and a Messenger sent to the Israelites of his time. He preformed miracles by the will and permission of Allah. The following words of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) clearly summarise the importance of Jesus (peace be upon him) in Islam: *“Whoever bears witness that there is no god but God Alone, with no partner or associate, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, and that Jesus is His slave and Messenger, a word which God bestowed upon Mary and a spirit created by Him, and that Heaven is real, and Hell is real, God will admit him through whichever of the eight gates of Heaven he wishes.”* (Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim)

I have read the Quran but I beg you to read the Torah, the Injil and Zabur so that you may gain clear understanding of God’s salvation plan; Even the Quran says if you have any questions to consult prior revelations. The suffering of the Messiah for the sins of his people and how God will raise him from the dead on the third day has been foretold by the prophets in the Torah and Zabur. Yes there is one God and Jesus is his word that came from the spirit of God, a holy child without sin. There is none righteous not one. Jesus is the only righteous holy one of God and through Jesus Christ death and resurrection God wants to redeem and save mankind; believe and be ye saved.

And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.* (Sura Nisa 171) Jesus (peace be upon him) received Injil, which contained the Shari'ah, revealed to him. In it was the prohibition of associating partners with Allah. In it was the prohibition to consume the usurious gain, alcohol, pig meat, blood, and the meat of animals not slaughtered properly. It contained the order to perform the Prayer (with bowing and prostration) twice a day. It had the order to fast (but other than the month of Ramadan), and the order to perform taharah. Jesus (peace be upon him) came with a Shari'ah that contained making permissible some of the things which had been forbidden upon the children of Israel in the Tauraat. The Quran tells us that it is not possible for one person to bear the sins of another and that we are all responsible, before Allah, for our own actions. *Nor can a bearer of burdens bear another's burdens if one heavily laden should call another to (bear) his load. Not the least portion of it can be carried (by the other). Even though he be nearly related. Thou canst but admonish such as fear their Lord unseen and establish regular Prayer. And whoever purifies himself does so for the benefit of his own soul; and the destination (of all) is to Allah.* (Sura Fatir 18) However, Allah, in His infinite Mercy and Wisdom has not abandoned mankind to their own devices. He has sent guidance and laws that reveal how to worship and live according to His commands. Muslims are required to believe in, and love all of the Prophets (peace be upon them); to reject one is to reject the creed of Islam. Jesus (peace be upon him) was but one in this long line of Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them), calling the people to worship Allah. He came specifically to the People of Israel, who had at that time gone astray from the straight path of God. Jesus (peace be upon him) said: *"'(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.* (Sura Imran 50) *"'It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.'"* (Sura Imran 51) Allah knew that if Mary (peace be upon her) tried to offer explanations, her people would not believe her. So, in His wisdom, he told her not to speak. From the first moment Mary (peace be upon her) approached her people they started to accuse her, but she wisely followed Allah’s instructions and refused to respond. This shy, chaste woman merely pointed to the child in her arms. The men and women surrounding Mary (peace be upon her) looked at her incredulously and demanded to know how they could possibly speak to a babe in arms. Then, by the permission of Allah, Jesus (peace be upon him), son of Mary, still a babe, performed his first miracle. He spoke: *He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;* (Sura Mariam 30) *"And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; * (Sura Mariam 31) *"(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; * (Sura Mariam 32) *"So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!* (Sura Mariam 33) *Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. * (Sura Mariam 34) Yes, it’s true we all believe in the same prophets of Allah. We believe in Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them). The holy Quran has chapter on Jesus and Mary (peace be upon them). We also believe, as mentioned in the holy Quran, Jesus (peace be upon him) will come back in this world. The Jews do not believe in Jesus (peace be upon him) and the western fake “Christians” namely roman catholics, protestants, sda, mormons, jehovah's witness, unity church, etc... don’t believe in Muhammad (peace be upon him). But we as mentioned in Quran believe in prophets from Adam to Abraham, Moses, Jesus to Muhammad (peace be upon them) ultimately all three are same religion. Muslims believe Jesus (peace be upon him) was the slave of Allah and a Messenger sent to the Israelites of his time. He preformed miracles by the will and permission of Allah. The following words of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) clearly summarise the importance of Jesus (peace be upon him) in Islam: *“Whoever bears witness that there is no god but God Alone, with no partner or associate, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, and that Jesus is His slave and Messenger, a word which God bestowed upon Mary and a spirit created by Him, and that Heaven is real, and Hell is real, God will admit him through whichever of the eight gates of Heaven he wishes.”* (Saheeh Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim)

Thank you sir. I am a Muslim I went to a Catholic school and learnt a few things.I always remember my teachers who came to a hot humid country (what is Bangladesh today) to educate teach people in a school now 129 years old. Yes we have lots of things in common in our faith. Hazrat Essa, (pbuh) is one of the many prophets we revere. Without him your belief is not complete in Islam. We pray to one and the only God the creator of this universe, most part of which is the unknown as your referred. The difference is we believe God is singular no one is from Him nor is He from someone.There are tremendous distortions in lives.

Sometimes/, I find it just utterly amazing how the reverts to Islam find the truth and understand it much better than many of us "privileged" to be born into it! This is so cool. In 1989 my i rememeber my father a devout muslim in Saudi Arabia telling me that Americans were more Muslims than Muslims. When I asked him what he meant by that. The foundational characteristics of what Islam should do to a person is found in them, punctuality, honesty, sincerity and they do what they say and say what they do. I know a lot of people would disagree but that was his experience working with American engineers and contractors in the Middle East.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is a loved and esteemed man, a Prophet and Messenger, like other Prophets including Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Zakaria, John and Muhammad (peace be upon them) calling his people with similar message "to the worship of Allah". The economic right of a girl was denied before Islam and continued to be denied in secular cultures after it, only being awarded to women as late as this century. However, over 14 centuries ago, Islam gives the women right to personal ownership and wealth. Islam definitely teaches equality between men and women. However in some Muslim countries and societies, a patriarchal cultures dominates, and women are denied rights given by Allah. Islam strongly prohibits oppression and cruelty to anyone. Allah enjoins good conduct toward girls from birth to death. Verbal, emotional, psychological, sexual and physical violence are forbidden as are false allegations against women's chastity and honour. *Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Don't annoy them, so as to restrict them. And if they carry life in their wombs, then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they breastfeed your offspring, give them their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if you find yourselves in difficulties, let another woman breastfeed the child on the father's behalf.* (Sura Talaq 6) Nowhere in the Quran state that one gender is superior to another. Allah makes it clear that the only criteria for superiority are piety and righteousness... virtues only Allah can judge. *O mankind! We created you from a single pair of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other not that you may despise each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).* (Sura Hujarat 13) Islam gives them the right of inheritence whereas in some cultures like western/israeli/central asian/south asian/australian, girls are considered objects to be inherited. Without her, the future generation would lack the healthy moral conscience that is needed for success and stability of any individual and community. Professionalism, hard work and loving commitment are the natural skills that a woman as a mother, imparts. However Muslim girls are free to pursue employment if they are able to, and with the agreement of their husbands if married. History is witness to Muslim girlss contribution to civilisation in various professions such as teaching, medicine and other fields. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) guaranteed protection of the girls. And why should you not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who, being weak, are ill-treated (and oppressed)?- Men, women, and children, whose cry is: *"Our Lord! Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!"*

So by your comment you have studied islam and have got all your answer. Can you provide me with the evidence for the claim that the pagan God of the Kaabah is the same as the true God of Abraham. Your comment is only a muslim meme there is no evidence for it.

What I admire most of the Muslam faith is their discipline to their faith. That is lacking in the Christian faith. This is coming from a Catholic like me

(5:68) Say, 'O Prophet," "O People of the Book! You have nothing to stand on unless you observe the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And your Lord's revelation to you 'O Prophet' will only cause many of them to increase in wickedness and disbelief. So do not grieve for the people who disbelieve.
