Rip Nightbird. I write this with tears in my eyes. She was such a pure beautiful soul and she gave us all a glimpse into what a true angel on earth might look like. I couldn’t imagine.. I love my parents and want them to live to be the 120 max.. I hope you’re doing okay. My wife’s dad died at 55.. it wouldn’t matter if she was my worst enemy I wouldn’t wish a dead parent on anyone no matter who they are. No one deserves that and she isn’t okay after almost 3 years… just as I assume I wouldn’t be either. I hope you’re doing better than we are.

Many die daily all ages, the whole gamut but because we respected, liked, loved the young person who died we utilize that saying. It's not that only the good die young, it's simply we care and are impacted by their passing on an emotional level thus why it absorbs us. May she rest in peace, she was beautiful.

You appeared just as my brother was fighting hard against stage IV metastatic renal cell carcinoma; a recurrence 4 years after having a kidney removed and being declared ‘cancer free’. Hearing your story had an impact on my brother and helped him to fight. He is currently in remission & still fighting every day. She wasn't meant to win AGT, she was meant to be there to sing her heart and to inspire and touch people I'm heartbroken but grateful that I get to hear this beautiful song from a beautiful person who will always be remembered. Why am i in tears for someone that i just saw online? I didn't know who she was because i do not watch the show. And i heard about her in the news. I then looked for this audition. I guess, because I saw that in her performance of the song and her answers to the questions before singing, she showed how she battled but was able to accept that things happen in our life and that no one should complain about negative things. It's part of life and IT's OK. Amen, Nightbirde! May your soul rest in peace. Thank you for touching the hearts of many!

I was just scrolling videos and was curious, so I clicked on this. I didn’t know I needed to hear this until just now. I’m a 62 year old married man with adult children and I am crying my eyes out right now because like I said, I didn’t know I needed to hear this song. I’ve been a chronic pain patient for 20 years and feel like I’m at the end of my rope. This song has lifted me up in ways I can’t express with words. Thank you doesn’t seem like enough, but that’s all I’ve got. Thank you.

Nightbird most definitely stirred my soul with her grace, elegance, confidence, and infectious smile. Just living as a positive human being despite her serious ailments she unquestionably deserved the golden buzzer. Undoubtedly she was a cut above all of the rest. Most of us take our long days for granted. Her days were lessened to a lower number, but she selflessly offered her remaining days to total strangers smiling happily. We all could learn from her valuable example. All of us should be grateful and cherish our lives and each other. Because too many of us are just living to survive instead of surviving to live... RIP Nightbird we ❤ U!

She was an inspiration to me personally such an angelic soul , giving us a glimpse that there is still hope for everyone living. Rest in peace 💔

She suffered from Cancer. I felt really sad for her even though she had a wonderful spirit. I had cancer the past year and by the grace of God I was healed a few months ago. It's a horrible feelingg not knowing if you're going to live or die. Thank God my prayers were answered! Rest in peace Nightbird...You're a lovely & courageous Angel!

I will never become tired of hearing this song. She ministered to that audience and now to the world with it beautifully.

I will miss night bird so much. Her song helped me through my depression. I listened to it every day it comforted me in ways no one else could. She will be greatly missed.

Watched Nightbirde for the umpteenth time ..And every time brought tears to my eyes..Why do we lose such Angels so early is a question that comes to my mind..What a lovely voice..smile and attitude..Rarely do we see such an amalgamation in one person..Nightbirde you are one of a kind...And to top it all with all the problems..You have such a lot of courage ..and your infectious smile hides it all..You have thankfully left us with this awe inspiring song..IT'OK..A song we will sing when life is tough..The Angels are richer with your presence..😢

This is one of the very few AGT videos I have watched over and over. I am in awe of her. Once in a while, someone comes along to teach the rest of us how to live our lives.

RIP Nightbird…she had such an angelic voice. I loved it and her so much. She was so brave and was such a positive light that we’ve needed as of recently. I also loved how quiet and respectful the audience was while she sang.

One thing I’ve notice about people who are actively dying, whether they know it or not, they all share this magical angelic smile about them that makes their face glow in this golden hue, (I notice this with my own mother when she was fighting brain cancer, and with my sister last year, the Sunday before her sudden passing from brain haemorrhage.). Once you see it, it somehow registers in your memory, even though at the time you didn’t know what was coming. Nightbirde has the most remarkable vocal, very different and mellowing, no doubt she’s jamming with the angels. May God grant her eternal peace and happiness, and what a privilege it was to watch this video.

I've seen this 20 times and I still don't comprehend this gift I have called life.

Rest in peace, you wonderful young lady...so young to be going through so much, but so old-souled that you took it all in stride and held your head up high. Your soul was...is...beautiful, and you fought so hard for every moment in your life. You touched the hearts of friends and complete strangers the world over...Your song is beautiful and powerful and uplifting. Your heart was bigger than the vessel that carried it, and your soul burned so bright... I lost a couple of loved ones over the years to cancer, and through it all they stayed just as strong as you..and I'm reminded of them now..and while I sit here with tears of sadness streaming down my face, they are intermixed with tears of joy that you got to share your soul with the rest of the world, no matter how briefly. Everytime when I see on this song the tears start coming from my eyes and when I see on this song then in my heart I say it's alright and it's okay RIP night bird 😢
