inspired wholly by @VirtualRiot's "death by amen" video, looked super fun to try myself (and decided to reference a classic of his hahaha)
all sound is generated ONLY BY CHOPPING THE BREAK, there is no warping or editing in any other way (apart from velocity). i used some compression on the way out for a little more dynamic control.
was super fun to do :)

How do you control the pitch of chops that became tones?

its a bit of math. my tempo is 167bpm, so i divided that by 60 to get 2.78333 beats per second. when i want a specific pitch, i have to lookup the frequency of that note, and then divide that frequency by that beats per second number (in my case, 2.78333) which will tell me how many times i need to chop it per beat to get my note. for example, Eb2 is 77.78Hz. divide that by 2.78333, and i need to chop it 28 times per beat to hear Eb2 :)
