I hope y'all love this episode this was one of my favorite so far. My friends are amazing and they are great story tellers with thoughtful opinions. I'm telling yall these people I tell you about in my life are real! These stories are real. This is what I mean by finding amazing people in your life. Don't be afraid to listen to others perspective and stories. If y'all hear stories from people and you keep telling them it's not real, maybe look at your life and see how much you need to challenge yourself to go outside and Interact with people outside your circle. If you ain't got a story to tell, it's cause you havent explored yourself or experienced enough things to speak about shit. Go out there! Meet people like Amen and create the strong a fun group!

This was Absolutely amazing. I for real felt so connected to this one. Plus size, stereotypes, the work force, being a Christian, being a woman, etc. I felt so inspired after this podcast. I really started looking inward. I need to get myself back in the mind set of “I want to be a better me one step at a time.” Thank you all for that.

Amen was such a perfect guest for this topic, not because of her race, but she articulates each subject matter so well. her stories and examples don't trail off, meander or contain a ton of filler words. Nothing against your other guests, but the chemistry between you two has such a nice flow. I'm loving these podcasts David. Thanks for not giving up and continuing to change things to make this worth it for you to keep bringing that good-good. 😌

Hey I’m a big fan of yours and enjoy your content. But I wanted to thank you for bringing up this topic on your channel and including someone who’s opinion carries weight in the topic. As a black girl in high school and hearing other nonblack students use the n word I’m never sure how to approach the situation. But watching you guys have this conversation openly and articulating it so well from multiple perspectives I now have an idea of how to approach the situation. Again love what you’re doing and I hope you can continue.❤️

I talked about this topic in my psychology class and one black guy is from Nigeria and explained how he wasn’t accepted as black when he came to America. After discussion more my teacher said that it’s because African Americans had their culture taken from them, and the Nigerian guy didn’t. He had his culture and didn’t understand that African Americans had theirs taken. As I white person I reflected to myself feeling the same in that I don’t feel connected to a certain culture. My teacher told me that white Americans lost their culture too. White people are from Europe and we aren’t connected to our culture as Europeans. I believe all Americans in a way lost their connection to their culture because America isn’t a culture, it’s a place everyone wants to make it “their own” if that makes sense. Any thoughts anyone? I’d love to see others perspectives and start a conversation♥️

Being Nigerian and being American black are basically two different cultures. It's just the same as being white in the United states vs. Europe, we have different cultures, potential language, and much more.

I can totally agree with David about the N word up in NorCal. You may say it with your homies that you grew up around with, but you can't say that everywhere else. I refrain myself from saying it outside of my circle. I am in the Military and the values that they have taught me is respect. Respect others, and earn it. Not saying earn the respect of saying the N word but respect it as a cultural thing. Its not my culture because I am Asian so I don't have a pass around the world. Point is: Don't even say it outside of your circle, if anything respect the word and don't say it at all.

your podcast episodes never fail to sweep me off my feet! i've had so many questions that's always ran through my mind but couldn't ever really find an answer myself. first off, i'm so thankful that you had a convo with amen! her insight and perspective on her virginity as well as your opinions mad me rethink having my first time with my so. i love him yet feel so hesitant to actually do it bc of religion, the probability of pregnancy, and the pain itself. considering your opinions it made me realize that hey! i don't have to feel obligated to do this and this, when i really really feel like i'm ready, then that day will come. my so has always been so kind, understanding, and patient so feeling as if i'm letting him down is just me getting in my own head. we've talked to each other about it multiple times before and believe we just need a real sitdown talk about it and it'll be okay. secondly, i've actually had multiple convos with ppl about the modernized n-word, and although we expressed our thoughts on it, it never felt clear. i think i know where i stand now and in fact it's become clear to me that yes it is wrong. no question about it. of course like you and amen had said yourselves, of course depending o the environment you had grown up with that's understandable if you use it in that setting but it doesn't give you a free pass for each new clique or part of the world you are in. there's a history to that word and it doesn't matter who you are. thirdly, "how can you love someone else when you cannot even love yourself first?" that's actually something i've said to my friends, family, and etc. yet no matter how many times i've said it, it always astounds me when i hear you (david) say it. i think after all these years from watching your vids, that's where that type of thinking actually originated from. thank you for including that and reminding me of that. no matter what age we are in, we're all on our own journey of self-love and yall are a testament that it's a constant journey no matter what age you are. all the love to you david

This was so cool to watch. It's so interesting to hear the conversation about the African/ African American stigma. Growing up I was never accepted by the African immigrant community. Not to say this was every African's perception but I've always been ostracized since I was a child because I was "a mutt" and "not a real African". It makes me think about perception because I'm not fully black and I'm mixed mostly with Asian but in the same way everyone only sees the skin color and not the heritage that you have.

Barika Reese I’m not drastically mixed with another race but I’m half black and half Nigerian and I can understand you when the cultural aspect comes into play it always feels like I’m left out or constantly having to act like I know what’s going on culturally it really sucks that you’re treated like that I pray it gets better.

I'm so glad you started a podcast! Every single episode has been great, but this one was beyond exceptional (you have this way of creating such engaging, open, and insightful conversations). Also, I would love for Amen to come back for another episode (her opinions, point of view, and general vibe is amazing

Amen is such a beautiful person, I'm starting on my weight loss journey once again and like everyone I hope this is the last diet of my life. Remember to seek help when needed and at the end of the day nobody knows you like you do.

God is talking all the time and I truly feel he meant me to hear this, and this came so clear to me when you spoke on the subject of how can you expect to find love when you don't love yourself. Totally paraphrasing here, but that was the aha moment for me~love your podcasts!
