Amelia Earhart Radio Broadcast Highlights, 22 May 1932
The voice of pioneering aviatrix Amelia Earhart (1897-1937), broadcasting from London following her successful trans-Atlantic flight from Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada to Culmore, north of Derry, Northern Ireland. She was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and in this short recording (a bonus record included in copies of the first edition of her book THE FUN OF IT) she recounts some highlights of her experiences during this history-making flight.
