It's crazy how far those features even with amd have gotten, was playing ghost of tsushima at 4k native high settings with 60-70 fps and with enabling fsr 3.1 quality upscaling and amd frame gen now 150-170 fps(capping it at 144) and can't see a single visual difference and since I play on controller no noticable latency diff at all

The frame generation is just magic, it not only makes the image smoother but completely flattens the frame time graph, and I do not see any artifacts in game.

I have to agree, FSR 3.1 is allowing more modest hardware to get a massive performance boost at minimum loss in quality. I'm seeing really weak gpu's get solid performance that was unthinkable before FSR 3.1, so for low to mid-end gamers, FSR 3.1 is a potential game changer, and could also be for consoles, depending how well FSR 3.1 works on that, but considering that it's all Sony titles on PC that got the FSR 3.1 treatment, I do get a sense that AMD and Sony have been working together on improving the upscaling for PC and consoles.

I tried frame gen the other day for the first time on Howarts Legacy (Using Lossless Scaling), I genuenly had to check twice that frame gen was active, because at I could not notice any obvious artifacts (It ha some, but not noticiable while actually playing)

They broke shader compilation in Fortnite, crazy stutters every time I completely reinstalled windows and then found out that it was a problem with latest driver like bruuuuuh

EDIT: Just launched Fortnite and can confirm that the shaders cache loading stutters are HORRIBLE, they do stop after a minute or 2 when loading things up, but till then you'll have lots of stutters in this game. What's your experience with these drivers? I, so far, amd fine with them! Although I did find a bug when using Filmora it will sometimes lock the VRAM to 2700MHz making Filmora stutter a bit, BUT, I need to update Filmora and see what I get from there :D

Despite all the improvements these drivers brought, at least for me, there was one big problem. My Adobe Premiere Pro no longer works. Whenever I open a new project, or an old one, it crashes and closes by itself. I went back to the previous drivers, and this problem stopped.

It's probably best not to download this driver version 24.6.1. if you are playing Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege. MAJOR FPS Drops & stuttering around 85%. I had to roll back to 24.5.1 and it solved the issue. This is 100% a driver issue. I am using a 6750 XT btw.

I have noticed that the adrenaline startup is kinda slow? I have the toast symbol on the bottom right so I have quick access to it. Since the update it shows up after a minute or so on boot. Doesnt seem to affect anything, just something I noticed. Should I reinstall adrenaline?

I reinstalled the entire system and it didn't help. Stutters and adrenaline take a long time to load

I'm gonna leave this here: The best way and cleanest way to install the AMD adrenaline drivers are to: (1.) firstly install AMD cleanup utility or DDU and also download the latest version of amd adrenaline driver for your SPECIFIC MODEL (don't get auto detect). (2.) Disconnect from the internet entirely and keep it disabled until the whole process is finished. (3.) Run Amd cleanup utility or DDU, it will ask you to go into safe mode just press yes and wait for the cleanup process to finish. (4.) Once your back into normal mode and drivers have been removed completely then run Amd adrenaline driver installer and allow it to install with a "full install", screen will flicker and do weird things, just Allow it to do so no need to panic. Once the process is finished it will prompt you to restart the pc once or twice, please do as such so the driver changes can take effect. (5.) Enable internet and enjoy.

This driver seems to use less power on my 6600, used to use 18watts with 2 monitors at idle, now it's 3 watts, that's cool, wasn't expecting that.

Using ASRock's AI QuickSet program for Stable Diffusion on AMD systems, it seems to run substantially faster with these 24.6.1 drivers. I have a 7800 XT and it was a little tricky to get Stable Diffusion going, but image generation is snappy now with these latest drivers and QuickSet. Thumbs up!

Render target uav is basically what renders a field of what the player actually sees in front of the player model and what doesn't in players fov to help performance

They were already good for my 7700XT on the 24.4.1 driver. Was it that bad for you? what card please?

WSL 2 Rocm acceleration is unfortunately not working on cards under Gfx 1030 (RX 6800), tested on 6750 XT, 6650 XT, MI 25. Ubuntu divers for WSL contains code to specifically fail on these cards. So besides the CLEAR MISINFORMATION in the release note saying rocm wsl is supported on all RDNA, it's still the same for most buyers.

I have on one System issues with the 24.6.1 also after i use DDU. Then i use AMD Cleanup Utility and all was fine then.

Adrenalin metrics finally working I think? Usually sometimes the CPU metrics will be missing, but I have restarted the system few times, it still working as intended.

Can confirm that the "GPU Memory Temperature" on the Metrics OSD options is a new thing and is not in the 24.5.1 since I'm still using that driver at the moment.

Games like Fortnite are having severe stuttering and freezing issues on this driver.

Never forget, online multiplayers can stutter by the connection to the server or by the server itself, not just by your PC or drviers. So it is very hard to analyze what is the source of stutters. Frame renering mostly depends on the incoming and outcoming packets, missing packets or high jitter, etc....

@@lclnbm I had only one bug - when right-clicking on Desktop and selecting Adrenaline from the drop-down menu, it always loads minimized, and rarely remembers the Adrenaline window size and position.

Deffo closing the gap.. Go check official amd drivers forums. People getting non stop BSOD's from 24.6+24.7.1 drivers. And let's no forget Driver Timeout (driver crash), which also keep happening since 2 years, without a single fix from AMD. Catalyst was the real deal. Never had s SINGLE problem. Since switched to 7900 xtx+Adrenalin, nothing but issues. Changed cpu/psu/ram/mobo+replaced GPU with another, still the same. Drivers is the only issue. Maybe you and Fabio are the lucky ones without any issues perhaps.

I have a 7800xt with a r5 5600x cpu, I had to go back to the 24.5.1 driver, in the 2 hrs I installed it, I had 8 gpu crashes where my pc would automatically reboot. Thanks for talking about Spider-man remastered, I thought it was just me, it crashes a lot. Quick question, do you know if UWP applications support RTSS? I'm trying to play Gears of War UE, but it doesn't affect it, another thing I also have to say, because of the crashes there came a time where my GPU would no longer play games it would reboo it itself again, to the extent of telling me a msj that said more or less "You installed an unsuitable driver" or popping the message "you hardware had changes, please reboot it". This is the first time in a long time that a new AMD driver gives me this kind of problems.

I had the washed out colour problem on one of my systems months before this new driver update too (this seemed to happen on chromium based apps for me at least). I fixed it apparently by switching to another displayport port on the gpu and I never had the problem since.

You can't use in other games as it is per game implemented

I had the same problem of massive stuttering after the first install. Then I ran AMD' driver cleanup utility, reinstalled 2.6.1 and then everything was smooth. Also notice the lots of black screens during the first installer All this happens I believe, because this release makes GPU firmware updates. Pay attention to the installer's messages, I caught at least one saying that it was updating the card's USB4 power delivery firmware. So this is a more complicated update than usual.

EA FC 24 is unplayable on latest driver (6900XT) It perma stuters and freezes for seconds. Can you forward this issue to AMD or try to reproduce? EA FC 24 is included in game pass. I reverted to previews driver and have no issues.

I think I've had problems with this driver in games like FIFA 23 and EA FC 24 (where it freezes my entire PC when starting a game or loading) but it worked fine with the previous driver

First descendant coming out July 2nd and I can't wait. Not seeing good results on these drivers for 6000 series outside these new game support sadly.

I can confirm for me that the Adrenaline Metrics now work properly in Helldivers 2 with the 24.6.1 drivers. I always game with metrics on lol

After installing these drivers my msi afterburner kept malfunctioning. And windows keeps on saying that something is wrong. Major stuttering in a lot of older games and got a SAM not working mention in the driver software. Deactivate after burner and the problems where gone. Installed the may drivers and reactivated after burner and no problems at all. After multiple DDU reinstalling and switching on and off afterburner the stuttering seems to be from the new drivers and afterburner not working with each other and that Deactivates SAM I have this problem on my 6750 XT and a friend of mine has the same thing on a 6650 XT

Don't know if it is driver related issue but since I updated to these drivers today I got an insane amount of stutter playing Fortnite even while diving out of the bus with RX 6600 and Ryzen 5 5500. At times my fps dips into single digits. Even after more than 3 games

I tried FONV last night and was able to play again with no issues on the new driver. Two hours straight with not even a stutter.

My problem with this driver is that i'm on a laptop extending screen to a monitor. When i restart or start the pc on only extended to monitor, it doesn't work whatever i click. So i always have to start up with laptop screen on and then go to monitor only.

Did the fix andrenalin oc metrics? I had problem with 24.5.1 where andrenalin metrics and also ryzen master metrics go bonkers with 24.5.1

No its not... you both mostly have the vram withoit thermal pads. Put thermal pads to transfer heat to the heat pipe and temps will go down. Youre both slowly killing ram allowing to run that hot.

I wonder if the HDR colour washout fix also fixes the colour washout when taking screenshots. That's when I always had issues with the HDR washout. Will have to try it after updating it.
