I think giving him something to chew on while you are interacting with someone else, is a great idea! I’m not so sure he’s anxious but he sure does want all of your attention, Dave. And I also think that he’s always up for a walk. So when you two are together and he has his leash on, he’s ready And wants to go for a walk with you! Lefty is such a gem of a dog!!

@@TheCampulanceMan oh yeah, being patient and I have time before I need to pull the trigger, so I'm looking for a deal like Austin's to come along. I just hope I'm quick enough to get a deposit down before some other buyer does lol I spent 4 hrs last night doing a look around the country and did find some that had a fair price, but were not cared for which is fine for body/interior, but makes me think if they didn't take any care of the body/interior, why would they bother to do anything with the engine? The hunt continues.....
Good idea to have the heater extension to go into the water cabinet:)
I LOVE that spare tire setup. Good use of what would have been wasted space!!!
I am happy to see you did a tour of yet another 7.3 Powerstroke Ford ambulance! Hope you run into more Powerstroke rigs in the future. 👍🏻

Just watched video on Austin's rig. Was curious what music were you playing at end of video. Thanks for another great video.
Ok, my thoughts, I've been looking at a lot of videos. Some on building up the LMTV into overland campers, great idea for people who can work on those trucks. I can do some wiring, plumbing and build inside stuff but a mechanic I'm not. Anything in the $10 grand or under in a class c camper is going to be old with a great chance of leaks into the wood framing. Ambulance is all aluminum, what a great choice. You changed my mind.

Dog cracks me up. lol
Nice rig, minimal buildout is con$ervative of resources. While Converter & inverters in Ambu’s are heavy duty for vehicles, they’re under-powered for FT nomads (who usu sell them). Rain channels at the roof are usually *structural, so they can support shading awnings. Diamond plate *looks fine as a mirror (tho oxidation will make it haze quickly), it is a big thermal break to the module, and thus needs removal on doors.
Rusty was trying to tell you something very important 🧐🤔

Lefty has had a very quiet life in a house prior to these adventures. Some dogs deal w/it better than others. He meets many different people now so that provokes anxiety.

Any idea where I can find insurance. Or what it is I have to do to get a used ambulance insured. Progressive (the conversion go to, says no) I feel like I have called everyone.
I don't know about him being allergic to Lefty I think Lefties allergic to him 🤧😕
Pretty sick! Quick question: My ambulance has 2 additional lead acid batteries, are those necessary to drive the vehicle? Or can I use the compartment to store my house batteries? Thanks!
@TheCampulanceMan

If those aren't needed to crank the engine, then trace wiring and see how to separate them from your cranking batteries. Then swap them to new house batteries with either solar or an isolator for charging.

@@TheCampulanceMan that's what I'm planning! Thanks for the confirmation!!
I didn’t catch what type of bed looks like it folds down. I would like to know what kind of bed it is. It’s one of the things that I would do first. I have to have a comfortable bed that’s for sure. Unless he built it himself. Lucky guy to be able to start his life on the road at a young age. I would like to know what he does to earn a living to support himself. I hope that isn’t too personal. Lucky sure is a curious dog.👍

I'm new to your channel. Would like to know the interior dimensions. And are there longer ambulances available? I'm guessing the box is 12' long. How is the fuel mpg? I would recommend staying away from the Ford 6.0 diesel. It has a reputation of needing to be rebuilt.

Its a choice - and a lot of work to gut them. Most folks are buying them because of all the cabinetry :)
