To me this song represents the loss of my husband to cancer, I held on to him for 4 long years, and am still holding on. I cry every time I hear it...

I'm so sorry. I lost my wife two years ago, also to cancer. Shortly before, I was at home after ICU visiting hours were over. This song came on, and I broke down. To this day, I still can't get through this song without crying.

David Pack was the MOST underrated talent in the 70's early 80's..........Ambrosia was ONE of the best LIVE acts I have ever seen........and I have SEEN PLENTY!!
My favorite Ambrosia song. Your reaction makes this song even better! You’re the best!

David Pack's fantastic lead vocal & great harmony.
Liz, loved this reaction. Ambrosia was no joke in the late 70s early 80s. Now it’s called “Yacht Rock”.
I grew up with this type of music back in my days. Now in my 50s, I still jam to these classic tunes 😁 Thanks for introducing these classic jams to our younger generation 👍

You nailed the true heart-felt meaning of this song of true love - it was spiritual then as it is now. Loved your raw reaction to this classic that I relished in the day. I'm now 71 yrs old and remember those love--longed days gone by. Keep it alive!

I love me some Ambrosia, and this MIGHT be their best song..... Yet so few people know of it. Crazy!
No doubt one of the most underrated bands from back in the day. Love your reactions on these timeless classics. So glad I got to grow up and listen to these songs on a daily basis. Sure miss the days of real musicians and talented singers. Thanks for doing what you do and for being the class act that you are.

Lizzie, thanks for reacting to this. I had forgotten about this great song. Looks like it really took you on a soulful journey.
Musicianship, vocals , and production are right up there with Steely Dan.
I remember this song like it was yesterday.
This song gives me the chills each time I hear it...I will never tire of listening to it. So happy you loved it. If you ever have the opportunity to see them live, do it. You won't be disappointed.

Never, never, never gets old. Love this song!
I first heard this on their greatest hits CD years ago and I was taken away. The chord changes are so sick on this thing and the vocal arrangements...gee whiz! Lovin it.
If you liked this one, let me suggest "I'm Not In Love" by 10 CC. You will definitely thank me later. Glad to see you enjoying the music I grew up on. Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories.

This is one of my all time favorites. Your reaction was priceless! So happy to see someone else feel it too.
This is so beautiful. Everytine I hear I cry. Don't ask why? I don't know! Been crying over this song since the *70's"
I feel like the music of the 70’s was just more calming and relaxing. ❤️ I was born in 1966. That “fall in the seventies” comment was spot on! I actually felt that and thought that during song!
They sanged the way we loved in the 70s!!
AOR F.M. Radio made this kind of great music possible. Without the format that allowed songs longer than the old 3-minute AM radio limits to be aired, we never would have had such music.

The best Ambrosia song!
First time hearing this song…Whew! Adding it to my Apple Music library.
These are the songs I grew up with on the radio I'm so happy to see you enjoying them today.. you should also listen to the groups America, seals and krofts, and firefall. all soft rock from the 70's you will not be disappointed
I'm still listening 🎶 to this master piece in 2023. Music back in the day was absolutely nostalgic .❤
They had incredible harmonies , lead voice , beautiful melodys
One of the best songs from that time frame. Thank you for the reaction (and the trip down memory lane). Looking forward to more reactions.
Ahhhh this song! FML! Amazing old 70’s soul by white guys. Love this Music
We may never have this type of great music ever again! Meaningful songs! I miss those days!
I'm so glad you liked the song! I was in high school in 1975, this is one of my favorite songs from that time in my life, and I love it as much now as I did then
I was feeling this with you. Always happy to see younger generations discovering this music.
Well hello Miss Lizzy glad glad glad you're back miss that smile have not heard this in years great choice crate reaction keep on smiling🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪✌🐾
Coming of age for me..15 years old sitting in the Old Spaghetti Factory in Vancouver waiting for my job interview to begin...this song came on over the restaurant sound system ....I can transport back to the sounds and decor of that moment ...a marker in time. (Yes I got the job)
This is my favorite Ambrosia song by far🤗
Liz. You have turned me on to some new music here. Never heard of Ambrosia but they tick all the boxes. My passion is harmony vocals. Also great rhythm and melody. Bit of blues guitar happening at the end of the track. Really nice touch.

As a teen hearing this is how you reacted to this song this gives me yesterday memories for real . You perfectly described my time and makes me miss home...it is spiritual for me.
this song resonates in my soul, I love it so much, that it has actually become a part of me. I get to go see Ambroia in December at The Soaring Eagle Casino and I can't wait.
I saw them live a couple of weeks ago as part of a Yacht Rock tour...still sound great.
Always been a playlist group for me….I am 68 and these songs were a part of me growing up. Kept me going through tough times.
Another ambrosia masterpiece. Next ambrosia reaction HAS TO BE “I just can’t let go”. Ambrosia + Michael McDonald + James Ingram!!

Thanks for reacting to this Liz! Hadn't heard it a long time. And yes, it puts you in another time and place. I remember it well. Such great music!🎶🎶🎶
I have been waiting for this reaction. Love this song!!
Another one of the greats!
I graduated high school in 79 and you are exactly right about this was the feel of the 70s. We had a wonderful laid back life back then. I feel bad for the young people of today to have all of this racial and social tension to deal with. Most songs that sang about that kind of stuff back then was all about getting along with each other, and not about dividing us. We need to get back to that.
I saw them live they were just as smooth.Listen Your the Only ONE that REALLY Love.
Inasmuch as I love this song!!!!! I've learned to close the door to the past.... famous quote.. "I've lost all hope in a better past"
I'm glad gens r getting to here the music I grew up with !
I was 7 years old when this came out, so that officially makes me OLD! LOL You're absolutely right about the '70's. The first half of the decade was pretty mellow, and there was still a little bit of softer rock out there in the late disco era '70's. I particularly liked the country rock music of this time, bands like Poco, FireFall, and early Eagles. They're not R&B based like a lot of the other music you've reacted to, and you may be taken out of your comfort zone. However, a lot of that music still has the smooth, easy vibe that you've talked about. You nailed this reaction, and I'm really curious to see how you react to the music I just mentioned.

@@robertveneziano4601 You know it, man! I remember listening to Ambrosia on the AM radio after working on a tobacco farm in my grandparents' farm at the time...I was still a child! You're so right...Ambrosia was one of those bands that bridged the great racial divide still in existence in Southside Virginia at the time! We ALL jammed to their music!
I graduated high school the year this came out..1975. You're right, this was how the 70's felt!
You were feeling that one for sure. Those vocals just tear your freaking head off!

What a great 70s slow dance song!
You have nailed this. And 1976 was exactly as you described. Mellow/progressive vs. Disco/Pop. We (rock) lost. But I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Used to listen to this jam driving in the winter raining and car full of smoke.
Thank you for this one Lizzie. For starters, I love your soft voice, it's like velvet. "Holdin On" is my favorite from Ambrosia. Whenever I hear it I am 18 all over again...at least for a few moments. Some of the best memories of my life. I wish you all the best...Mark ✌❤
Grew up listening to ambrosia his voice still cuts through me
You are right about your feelings. I grew up I was early twenty's. Awesome.
I love this band. Your reaction is the same way I vibe
Beautiful song
What made the 70s cool was how wildly eclectic & wide open it was. It was cool to listen to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Boston, Van Halen Alice Cooper etc And also Earth Wind & Fire, Brothers Johnson & Marvin Gaye. AND Yes, Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac & even The Cars! The 70s were also cool because concert tickets were dirt cheap even for the time. In high school we could easily afford tix to even the biggest acts! Then there was the sense of freedom & doing your own thing... LOVE hearing songs like this through YOUR EARS! My appreciation totally jumps when heard through a different filter! Keep flowing O Stunning One! Your musical voyage is a beautiful thing and I appreciate your sharing it! 👊❤️🌹

Phenominal effort by Ambrosia. The sexiest song since "The Great Gig in the Sky".
Happy New year pretty lady! I've watched this reaction several times...one of my all time favorite songs. You really got into it...made me happy!
Around 2 years ago I heard this song overhead at a grocery store and I thought, "Oh hell yeah I remember that." I just loved the hook in the chorus, but I couldn't get Shazaam open in time to ID it. This happened a few other times. I was always just too late. I tried singing my best recollection of the melody into my phone but it never worked. I tried fragments of the lyrics I could remember in searches but no luck. It drove me crazy. That hook was stuck in my head. Finally after months I heard it on the overhead out somewhere quick enough to execute Shazaam. Ambrosia! Finally. It had been such an itch that when I got home I listened to it on Spotify about 20 times in a row. Something about that chorus melody especially how the harmonies add on and divide. So satisfying.
Always loved this song and always loved hippies!!
You're awesome Liz! Loved the passion you have in your reaction and the great music you're reacting to. It's on my playlist. Thanks so much!
