In 1980 they also had a popular song, "You're the Only Woman (You & I)", and had two earlier '70s hits, "How Much I Feel" and "Holdin' on to Yesterday". Those are all still very popular on classic hit stations. Original member Joe Puerta went on to be a founding member of Bruce Hornsby and the Range.

The Earth Wind and Fire tune to which you refer is their early anthem That's The Way Of The World which is still my favorite from their fantastic catalogue. David Pack of Ambrosia has one of rock's greatest voices. His pic should appear in any dictionary defining the word SMOOTH. For a recent year treat see him singing Maria from West Side Story with Michael McDonald and the late, great James Ingram. Three Masters. Talk about a rich and glorious experience.

David Pack has the voice of an angel. This is the pop side of Ambrosia. For the prog rock side of Ambrosia, listen to the debut album, the second album or the fifth and last album. They also play on Alan Parson's album Tales of Mystery and Imagination. Also, David sings on numerous Alan Parson's albums. David left the band after the fifth album and went on to a solo career and producing for others. The most of the rest of the band are still together and they play certain venues, at least they were the last time I checked. Like the rest of us, they are getting up there and as we all know, Time Waits for No One 😍

This was a huge album in early 1980, and they were projected to be the next big thing, but it just kinda fell apart after that. Co-founder and vocalist David Pack went on to be a famous music producer, and (according to Wikipedia) "served as producer and music director for President Bill Clinton's inaugurations in January 1993 and 1997. In 1997, the White House asked him to direct the music and produce the presidents' Volunteer Summit in Philadelphia for presidents Clinton, Bush, Carter and Ford. In 2000, he was asked to direct and produce Yamaha's Michael McDonald Lifetime Achievement Award Show at the L.A. Shrine for his good friend. Pack brought together Ray Charles, Patti LaBelle, Kenny Loggins, Boz Scaggs and Christopher Cross for the event. In 2005, he produced and directed the 2005 World Aids Day Concert at Saddleback Church in Orange County for author and pastor Rick Warren."
