@TiMBR ZEAL I have a very monotonous yet demanding night shift job - imagine being required to finish about eight "Where's Waldo" books a night, come hell or high water - and I don't know what it is about this loop, but it massively helps my focus. And little things like that snowball into things like me getting off work on time, which turns into more sleep, more working out, more effort job hunting, more time spent with loved ones. Just wanted to thank ya, space cowboy.

As we each find our rhythm in the music of life, isn’t it incredible to see the symphony of stories in these comments? Each of us, a unique melody, with different tunes and lyrics shaped by our own experiences. It's truly wondrous! Remember, it’s perfectly normal to hit a few sour notes; it's part of composing your own masterpiece. If you're reading this, know that your journey, your crescendos and decrescendos, add to the richness of this world's harmony.

I press away on the clicky keys of my mechanical keyboard. Artificial sun light blasts down on my face during a gold grey Cleveland morning. Shuffling numbers around to different little boxes on my the screens so in some distant land the correct grocery sale tags will print for the shelf. Planes often pass out my window on their landing flight path over the lake. My dog is curled up in his bed by my feet and space banjo fills the air along with the light drone of the city. It's at that moment I remember I'm out here floating through space on my own cosmic adventure. I'm grateful for every happy day here in the crazed future.

It’s kinda sad we don’t have much to explore here anymore, but we have space. Now there might not be hundreds of thousands of buffalo, or grizzly bears and rickety old wagons on the Oregon trail up there, but it’s a vast, unexplored expanse just waiting. So in all, we’re pretty blessed.

I'd love to hear all of the different tracks in one place, it really works as a concept, the videos are good don't get me wrong, however the repetition of tracks is the thing that holds it back a little bit for me on a personal level. The vibes and atmosphere really are on point though. I go for a similar vibe on my Ozark 6 String. If I may suggest as well, Rusty Cage is currently working on a new album, I really think you should suggest a collab with him, he's an excellent narrative song writer and I think the two of you could have a lot of fun with this concept and making stories with it. I know he certainly would. Additionally, I reckon Queen Prophet's Song could be good in this style. Cheers!

You have a 6 string from Ozark Banjo Company? I've been following him on youtube for several years now. LOVE his play style and the tone from his banjos. I agree. I'm not completely satisfied with the repetition in my videos either, however it seems like there's a decent amount of listeners who don't mind. And I haven't recorded, mixed, and EQ'd enough content yet to fill a full hour while still posting somewhat regularly. - I am in the process of delivering music to streaming platforms (spotify, apple, etc.) so the tracks can be played there without the repetition. So I'm just now learning about Rusty Cage....and I almost fell into a binge watching hole with his videos. 😂 Thank you for sharing, I'll start following him on youtube and spotify and see where it goes!

@@SpaceBanjoMusic The banjo says Ozark on it, don't know much about it, It's not a bad thing, but I don't know banjos super well, it's got a nice sound to it and it's seriously improved my finger picking too. That's fair, as a musician I reckon it'd work as a sort of hour long of riffing around a central theme and improv, but that's me thinking how I'd do it, not what gets people watching. Certainly not a fault, you're doing good numbers really with what is quite novel concept. Oh, man, Rusty is my favourite songwriter full stop, the narrative of his songs are excellent. Give his album Heretics a listen and his Tom Waits and Bill Withers banjo covers a listen, it'll be up your street!

Keep the people and their stuff safe, keep the troublemakers out. Same as always, just like back home on Terra Tertius. Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I've stumbled across your videos purely by accident thanks to the algorithm and they've become my favourite things in the world to listen to. Thanks to you and your channel, I'm even currently planning on buying my own banjo and learning how to play it, even though I've never been musically inclined in my entire life. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind letting me know what type of banjo you use to record these tracks? I'd love to be pointed in the right direction. Thank you so much again for your videos and for the immense joy that they give me! 🪕❤

Big smile on my face after reading this :) I've been recording these videos with a 5-string Gibson Mastertone banjo. However, I started out with just a cheap 100 dollar entry level 5 string resonator banjo. - I also play open back banjos, which are great for clawhammer style and sometimes give a smoother mellow tone. Also, Look up Clifton Hicks' channel here on youtube, particularly his older videos that talk about finding a banjo. He's had a lot of influence on my play style, and I love seeing the older antique banjos that he finds. Hope that helps. Glad you're enjoying these videos!

might I ask that you take your 5 space-banjo and mesh them into a 5 to 6 hour piece? alone they are nice to put on a low volume while writing or drawing to... but I have to keep stopping every hour to switch over to the next one.

Must not be easy trying to play the banjo with gloves on and in an atmosphere as unforgiving as outer space. And then he has his helmet on?? This guy does it, though. Kudos to you, space cowboy 🤘

Some of the melodies in your music resemble traditional tunes. Is this tune one that you came up with, or is it a cover? Either way, you have found your sound. Great work!

These are a really good concept, but I'd generate more than one track per vid, since the AI tends to repeat the same strings within the song with no variation, and they can tend to be rather gratting if you try to listen for the whole hour

No AI was used in the music. Just me, a banjo, and an sm57 mic. The sounds effects were created manually (also without AI) using my recording software(DAW) Ableton. I do agree with what you're saying though. As I grow and can afford to spend more time building TiMBR ZEAL, I would like more variation in my hour long videos. In the meantime though, it seems like there are still plenty of folks who don't mind the repetition. And of course when I upload music Spotify and other streaming platforms, they'll be single non-looped tracks. Thanks for clicking on my video!

Maybe instead of sitting around moaning about "when is jesus coming back" we should worry about what state the world will be in when he gets here. Maybe it's a Christians job to change the world. Have you been a good servant? I know I haven't. But I'm getting better each day.
