A live, semi-improvised jam on Arturia's new six-voice analogue polysynth. All sounds, including effects, are coming from the PolyBrute only.
I have a complicated relationship with polysynths. On the one hand, the polyphony is so valuable and adds such an important element to hardware synth music. On the other hand, polysynths generally take up much of my table space and make it hard to justify keeping around. I'm happy to report that the Arturia PolyBrute is worth the space, and that it's an incredibly beautiful synth.
Here, I used the PolyBrute's "capture arpeggio to sequencer" feature while I was exploring the synth, and then started to play on top of it using the PolyBrute's bi-timbral architecture. While I'm no master piano player, it's awesome to have accompaniment while noodling around on the keys.
And while I'm super happy with the results, I think the most remarkable thing about the PolyBrute so far is how much music I'm NOT making. What I mean is that I've spent multiple nights just switching to an initialized patch and designing sounds from the ground up. This thing is a real joy to explore, and it rewards you for those explorations.
Written and recorded over a 12-hour period, with compression and limiting on the master.

Oh my god I'm gonna stop watching this, or my money will escape from my wallet again...this is too beautiful, but I think the biggest factor that makes it beautiful is your twist on this beast. You really have great taste in music and your arrangement is awesome. I'm really indulge into this, just watching is an aural and visual enjoyment.

I always come back to this piece; it's really moving and inspiring when I sit down to write - as, each time I listen, I feel like I'm taken on a wee journey. Thanks Jay!
I listen to this so much, its a masterpiece
Beautiful and really immersing ! I just recently purchased a Polybrute; it's my very first analog synthesizer and the first time I switched it on, I spent 8 hours with playing it...
Ugh. I was perfectly happy not wanting a PolyBrute, but now there's this! Now I have to rethink everything!

Awesome post Gladys! Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
great video and the on-screen notes were very helpful. The Polybrute is definitely a pleasure to play, more so than any other synth I've ever owned so tactile and sensory, at times it becomes an almost meditative experience. Love the random patch generation feature too for the random directions it can take you and inspiration
absolutely astonishing, i bet if someone hired you, you could make a KILLER soundtrack.

That was a beautiful jam. I cannot wait for mine to arrive.
Man, this is absolutely lovely ❤
Ordered at last. Thanks for the inspiration.
Gorgeous sounds design and masterful performance! Loved it.
Love this one, I cannot get enough.
I love this. Inspiring as hell man. Thank you for creating this
😍 beautiful jam
absolute mesmerizing!
Best piece of kit I've bought in a long time. That was wonderful, Jay!
That was outstanding. Glad I came across your work. Thanks and keep it up man, very inspiring stuff!

Amazing stuff as always Jay, you definitely took us on a joruney with this one. I very much enjoyed it and didn't realise that I kind of needed it. Thank you 💙
love your videos man!!!
Beautiful! This morph knob is a real gem.
Beautiful keyboard playing Jay, well done
Très beau morceau et très bel instrument. Merci pour ce moment.
Holy shit. That was a hell of a performance! Loved the explanations with it as well.
Sold. Amazing piece
that was a really goodand musical demonstration of the features and the character of the brute. nicely done!
beautiful composition , awesome performance, I love every second of this video . well done..
That was brilliant! My PolyBrute is coming in 1 week, can't wait. I really enjoyed your sounds, great job.
Another amazing piece with an unexpected yet very cool ending. Thanks also for showcasing the PolyBrute - a great synth indeed.
Wow love it. Thanks!
Very nice Video, like always! Its a long time ago, that a synthesizer put tears in my eyes and give me goosebumps. This one does it...I have got mine today and it will replace my beloved Andromeda A6. But I will still keep the A6 :-) Again Thank you very much for this cool video...
Yet another demo that brings me closer to buying one.........well played and presented Jay!
Still one of my favourite demos of this synth, awesome ❤
Just lovely, this will be a lot of help choosing between synths I'm looking at
Love it!
This is incredible sounding. I wish I had space for one of these.
Brilliant ☀️
so far my favourite polybrute video.. 🤘🏻
Jebus....this is an incredible display of the synth!! Bloody gorgeous sound design and sequence
Very nice!
I recognize a good old Jay. Immersion in sound, it's just a thrill ))). Thanks
I love this!!!!
Really lovely track. Polybrute is great for these kind of atmosphere.
Sold me on the polybrute, that ending sounded incredible! Such a unique and beautiful synth.
This is really great
Really nice jam. Incredible sounds, a joy to listen too. The PolyBrute is on my list, yet since I am just starting down the synth path, I have a couple of other smaller synths ahead of it.
You are making relatively little polyphony go a long way here. I think that limitations really spark creativity. The Matriarch is the best example of that in my studio. What an absolute gem. It’s an all-time classic.
So cool!
awesome video!!!
I have never seen this synth...stunning design...superb playing......I have just got a Micro freak...took me a while to get used to as it is my first synth but I am loveing it and the unique sounds you can make....
Awesome thanks!

Such an amazing talent you are :)
Beautiful stuff Jay! I’m absolutely loving mine, and find it makes a great partner for the Matriarch! Hope to see more of you with this beast, all the best my friend!
Very Kool! Awesome demo Jay! I want one for sure now. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Still my favourite Polybrute video. I've kept with my Virus and always will but the sequence on the brute makes it so tempting.
Beautiful stuff. Such a lovely synth that I'll never be able to afford :D

Mmmm I want one. Freaking great man!
I finally succumbed and got a Polybrute to compliment my Matriarch and Pro 3 SE. Wow.. what an instrument. Endlessly inspiring. Arturia created something truly special with the Polybrute.
I just bought one of your albums. I can't believe how much music you get done, I don't understand it Jay. If you work full time as well as doing this you are some kind of fkn magician as far as I'm concerned.
Superb, well done and tasty, get fun !
Very John Carpenteresque at 4:00! Really awesome!

@@shane864 Yeah, with its complexity that does feel more accurate! It replaced the Juno as one of my dream synths, so I may have been projecting that a bit 😅 What a beautiful instrument nonetheless!

@@sebastianmuzeja6516 I have a JP8 and a 60 and a bunch of other rare stuff, this sounds like it could replace most of it. I haven’t used one yet but the minibrute and matrixbrute definitely had that vintage soul to the sound, it was the build quality that was questionable. If the y worked that out this could easily be a top tier synth. I’m looking forward to hearing and feeling it in person.
With all the features on the Poly, I do wish they could've retained their Moog-esque folding panel.
I think Polybrute is a super super complex synth, endless possibilities, extremely strong functions and sounds insane. The only thing that I dislike is it’s price…which is not Arturia’s problem, it’s my problem 😂
the tingle in your nose before a tear. damn that pad was nice.
This is amazing :D Massive Fez vibes :D
this is so goddamn good
This video should be featured by arturia. It's one of the main reasons I got the polybrute.

splendid. Love that vibrato movement - though thats probably oversimpliying that modulation. I guess thats using aftertouch. Lovely. One of these days Im just going to have to stop buying low to mid-range synths and get myself a beast like this.
The morphe is now a skateboard? Cool - can't wait to take it out on the halfpipe. Bitchin'.
