I agree with Ambedkar Ji, democracy is effective only when people are highly conscious of what makes a happy nation. Graduation is not the mark of education.The more literate(degree wise) a person is in India, more morally corrupt he is. Judges , IPS & IAS are the reason no rich ever goes to Jail in India for any crime and they are literate enough. Even a illiterate person would not give bail to r*pists and murders.

You missed mentioning the 1992 Ajmer Christi rape cases that had the trustees of the famous trust of Rajasthan and the then congress leaders, involved in it. In school 100% attendance is required, in college 75% but in Parliament and the state legislatures... It shows their commitments and integrity. Not to mention their commitments to their oath of office. "Without Fear or Favour" This includes, judges also.

Well boss, Ambedkar had doubts but definitely believed in i dia and democracy otherwise he would not have written the consitution . And well he was wrong . We are not perfect but in 75 yrs the level of prosperity we have seen is amazing . My grandmum was a maid in a rich parsii home . My dad worked thru the streets of mumbai as a mechanic from chidhood and had a small garage and worked himself up to a 3bkh in mumbai . All of us his children are educated some in US and canada . India works not perfect but as nerhu said in our independence day speech , " maybe not in full measure but substantially" . So what if leaders are uneducated they represent the dreams and aspiration of milions of uneducated . Our leaders from nerhu thru shastri , indira , rajeev and now modi all have contributed to the slow growth of india all in their own way . And that is because our leadesrs do not built the counrty . We the people do from my grand mum to my dad now me and my son . I built india , its my responsibility. And i have broad enough shoulders . PS. Not a well thought and weak opinion:- 1)Gandhi did not cause holocaust, used heavy propaganda, was not creator of military pogrom and certainly not a fanatic like Hitler which majority of German condemns at public at least. Everything has a reason to happen, which in our current time is not knows because history is what author says. There is no huge things your Hitler did, all he did was using feeling of German to move his idea of Germany and certainly violent way is an average mob way plus a minority villain. 2)Ask yourself why Benjamin franklin is in US dollar while queen victoria Elizabeth-II is on pound sterling. 3)Once you understand the clout of Gandhi and his mobilization power with Indian mob who have feed themselves and join the protest at the same time is something appreciable. It is also British who are responsible for class conscious of India(Railways, Post, printing press, pakka road, INC). Indians have developed hide of a servant under British rule under the tag zamindars which are now can be traced most upper caste Hindus with wide area of landholding.

that is british history to say that the 10% were somewhat alien just like they divided it in ancient, medieval and modern. They are also part of india and the focus should be adopting their lifestyle of Indian constitution. If you assume the minority a cancer then every election has this same issue over tens of decades. You want real reservation? You already have one. Remember the hathras kand when the lower caste girl was raped and burned. The victims went through unbearable pain and suffering. Meanwhile the uppercast perpetrators were roaming free with police filing no FIR against perpetrators. Now that's a real privilege.

Tina Dabi got low marks in prelims she got selected from the SC Cutoff but her score in Mains was so good that the second ranker got 35 less marks from her. Just because she coudn't clear prelims from general cutoff doesn't mean she is less maritorious than the "so called" upper castes Upsc is all about mains, prelims is just to cancel out non serious aspirants. But as you no she was from the scheduled caste the so called upper caste people got the golden chance to put an reservation mark on her brilliance. If an general category student got 1 mark less from the cutoff and the same marks aee obtained by an SC/St/OBC candidate they started shouting -look they benefited by the reservation, now Marit has been compromised. If you get such Marit then score 150 in prelims why shouting at 89 marks. If on the place of tina dabi there was a poor SC/ST/OBC candidatw whose fathwr or mother was not a civil servant, and the candidate cleared the cutoff of sc category and not general, these so called upper caste people still abusing them look they got the benefit of the reservation. The so called Marit of upper castes are compromised. Marit , my foot, in world university ranking the top 10 indian universities are IITs IIMs all are providing reservation. RIA DABI CLEARED THE GENERAL CATEGORY CUTOFF BOTH IN PRELIMS AND MAINS SHE DIDNT GOT SELECTED FROM RESERVATION, SHE WAS SELECTED FROM UNRESERVED SEAT SHE DIDNOT EAT ANY SC SEAT. Now i know why you didnt compete in harvard not because of your confidence its because you didn't have that aptitude.

I belong to his caste, Mahar, my father came from poor family and became Govt school teacher, and he never let me use any reservations facilities throughout my life, I was angry at him first, but when I grow older, I understand how this small things are raising confidence within me

Why Indians get Reservation on Race based rather than financial in Foreign countries? Because they faces discrimination on Race. Rich Caste people always supports and give favours to poor from their own community. India have Caste Monopolies and Caste networks. Sindhis support sindhis, parsis support parisis, khatri support khatris, brahmin support brahmins, etc etc. Uppercastes are just 15% but yet they makes up 45% of Urban population. Why? Because Indian politicians urbanise Uppercastes more than other castes. Why don't goverment urbanise all castes equally? Higher Urbanization of General population is main reason why Generals have higher cutoff.

@@Sethianshika456 You are not trying to understand. Indian politics is Caste and Religion based not Poverty based. These elected politicians merit's revolve around Castes. That's why after winning election they Focus more on their castes than all castes. 80% politicians are Uppercastes from General category that's why 15% Generals of total population are 45% in Urban areas. Only 30% India is urbanised while 70% Indians still live in villages. Only 10% Dalits are Urbanised who are 20% of total population. That's the main reason why General cutoff is so high. Why didn't goverment focus of all Castes equally? Even after ending Reservation, condition will be worse. Because only 1 in 100 Dalits can get Goverment job but it gives HOPE to all Dalits to read. If you ended Reservation, you will take away hope and General will as usual monopolies all goverment jobs. And Dalits will stop studying because they will remain jobless then why they invest money on studies? That can push them into crime and even seperatism just like sikh/northeast indian. Look at Rwanda massacre, Tutsis were 15% who monopolies everything after white colonisers left their country and 85% Hutus got nothing. Tutsis killed very first president from hutus community just to maintain their monopolies but all hutus got Radicalised and killed all tutsis from Rwanda. Now rwanda is most developed and rising economy in Africa. Uppercastes have become new Britishers of India. Do you want Muslim/Dalit/Adivasis to get united to fight them? Dalit/Adivasis are 25% of total population, so they deserves 25% jobs. That's it. Government should increase sc/st Urbanization and one day our cutoff will be same like Generals. That's only solution. India is just way to diverse to handle. You just can't do something, which benefits only benefits you and your community. I have my sympathy with Generals for having higher cutoff but you people did it to yourself by Over urbanize yourself. Every benefits come with Own Problems.

With much due respect to Dr BR aMbedkar he made our constitution. Why he couldn't change the electoral system ? What's the point of having ideas which you can't implement while holding most precious position on Indian governance?
