Hi! I had my loop and didn’t get an offer. During my interview with the BR, their phone rang twice and I was asked if I could hold for one moment while the BR put me and mute and answered their phone. This completely threw me off focus and I really wonder if because the BR was distracted could be the cause of me not being selected. Your thoughts?

sounds like they’re saying the system says you have a phone screen that is yet to be done. So either there’s some confusion over the one you’ve already done or they want to see you for another one

Hi Gigi! First of all I want to thank you for your helpful content. I am going to have my Interview Panel next week and I am wondering what LS besides Ownership and Customer Obsession are particularly relevant for the position of a Brand Specialist. Knowing that 'Frugality', 'Hire and Develop the Best' as well as 'Think Big!' most likely won't play too big of a role. Obviously I know that you cannot predict anything, though I'd be grateful for your opinion!

Sorry- I don’t like to make guesses about critical LPs for roles because 1) I could be wrong 2) I’d end up with hundreds of requests daily

Hi Gigi, I’ve passed the loop, thanks for all you help. At this point I am waiting for a new role to come up. I’ve mentioned to the recruiter that I am interested in a few roles within another departments that is on the same level however he only suggests positions within his department. I’ve mentioned a few times but he never gets back to me on that. He also said he would like to keep me in his department. What do I do? Thank you

They probably want to keep you in their area so they get the credit. I suggest you politely let them know you’ll be applying g for other roles and letting them know which ones and apply directly.

I got my 3 round of interview this week, and it was a 1 hour presentation. It was a partner development manger role. I used all the tips and STAR method, and created my slide using the writing tips. Overall, I think I did a good job. But there were a couple of problems. The hiring manager said she has an urgent call and has to leave after 40 mins. The call is arranged 1 week ahead, so this seems like the hiring manager has a time management issue. And the other two gents, one is another PDM and one is SA. But the questions they asked were irrelevant, like have me take a guess how much the Devops revenue of any company, which is totally irrelevant to this job... And the SA is asking some basic DevOps questions, like what is Agile... The topic of the presentation is to show the team the strategy that I am going to use to develop business if I took the role. It was not a good experience. I thought they are all professionals and being trained, but it is not in my case clearly... What is know after was, the PDM who were in the call didn't meet his quota for 1+ years, and both are struggling on the biz development for long time. So I am not quite understand is that is there any qualification process that AWS use to choose the interviewer? My question is, is this normal for AWS hiring process to find some people who are not very professional and more importantly not delivery results?

This is a bit of a facetious question. Is it normal to have incompetent, unqualified people as interviewers….of course it isn’t. Are theses people in fact incompetent and under qualified… I don’t think I could draw that conclusion from what appears to be your access to evidence of their qualifications and achievement.

@@amazoninterviewwhizzdayone503 I answered the questions they raised. I don't see why the DevOps revenue of any company relates to this role. And the guy asked me multiple to times and encourage me to guess. And why I know their performance is the hiring manager told me in my 2nd round of interview.
