Does it work with two wires Heat only ?

This thermostat compatible on 5 wires, green, white, brown, red and a blue, that originally only 4 wires connected from my old Honeywell digital thermostat and the blue wire is not in use.

Do u need wifi to install ? I hate the cheaper nest thermostat cause u have to have wifi for setups

I just installed Amazon’s new thermostat it was easy to wire and easy to program. I only have one question how do you turn the fan off and on from your phone. It can be done at the thermostat but I want to know how you do it at your phone can anyone help me out?

Amazon, please add a software update for a differential function for +/-2 degrees, so my HVAC will not be turning on and off all the time. It is hardware set for +/-1 degree. Hard of my HVAC unit.

Does anyone know if this thermostat includes the Auto-Changeover feature that most newer Honeywell thermostats include? That's important to me in a vacation home that doesn't have internet when vacant.

Yes, it does. Just check your instruction, manual or talk to the techs on their chat. They were very helpful and it works very good.

Finally, this is the reason I've not committed to a smart thermostat, they're always so darn expensive. But that seems like a bargain I can get with

Dude 100-150 bucks is not allot of money for the smart thermostats that look nicer than this one from Amazon and are on the market already and are known to already work with alexa.

Alexa live keynote

so I added two of these smart thermostats to a house I had for sale. the app kept asking for the wifi which the house does not have. so I ended up using another phone as a hotspot. well that didn't work either. it kept saying the wiring was wrong which I know wasn't the issue. ended up returning it back to Amazon. for future thermostat developers, don't assume all houses have wifi. why not set up the thermostat in dumb mode so it can at least be functional.

What would you like it to do with the ring app? Turn off the heat or A/C every time someone comes to your door.

It’s here. I was hoping to find unboxing or review videos. There’s nothing but this video. At $59 I think it’s a good candidate for some tech reviews, no? How come there aren’t any?

@@day2day734 I’m tempted to ask you how you like it. But more importantly I’m interested to know if it has a thermostat sensor thing like Nest and Ecobee. The ones that you can keep in other rooms/floors for modular temperature control. I asked a question on Amazon app too but no response yet.

@@pradyH it did not come with any. And this is my first smart thermostat. Installation was easy. Did have a couple hiccups with connecting it but like most things repeatedly going through the setup it eventually connected as it should. Everything is running smoothly as of now. Can control it via Alexa enabled devices as well with no issues.

@@day2day734 thanks. Yes, it doesn’t come with the sensor doohickey. But the question is still open- is it even supported? It’s a dealbreaker for me if it doesn’t have any compatible (sold separately) thermosensor thingamajiggy.

I didn't see this for $59 on Amazon, and I don't see a link to use to find this product. Can anyone help me?

For me this is elegant enough. How much time does anyone sit and actually watch their smart thermostat? I’d rather have a smart and simple solution that works for a price that is tough to beat.

I've had my Nest gen 2 thermostat for about 5 years. Nobody even notices that thing. And in our new house it sits in a room that is barely used. I've only touched that thing perhaps 4 times in the last 3 years and one of those times was to install it. Now what I would like to know is if it has remote sensors. That will come in handy.

no they dont , Ecobee is its own company... they just added the Alexa Built into the unit for voice control thats all nothing more.
