I'm glad that you can afford one because I can't afford it because when you get to a senior you would have to give up things. JohnE May and yes I would like one but I can't afford to get one. 😢😢😢😢😢

I would recommend using the Harbor Freight wagon/dolly wheels with bearings for the boats maybe. I used to pull my harbor freight wagon 15 mph with the wheels with my mini bike constantly and they held up pretty well. Some of the bearings wore out fast because some harbor freight wheel bearings are breed than others. To find a good one, just stick a finger on the bearing and see if it spins easy. Easy is good, tough bearings are no good. The only cons I see to these wheels are that the axle must be thicker than the ones you currently have installed and they are heavier.

I like that idea. They're cheaper than the dinghy wheels. I wonder how the bearings will do in the saltwater? We might just have to find out!

The wheels are only to pull the boat up the beach. Not for towing the boat !

I just bought the Bris 12 foot dingy it's red and black also. I am a big guy and was wondering how stable the seat bench are on them. Mine says it goes up to 20hp but all i can swing is the Hangkai 6.0 like you have. I am setting mine up just for fishing, I did buy a 4 x 8 kit trailer from tractor supply and plan on leaving it inflated for the fishing season and deflating and putting it up for the winter.

We've had 2 people on each bench seat with no issues. They are very stable and should be fine for fishing. The boat itself is more stable than our bass boat. Do you have a link to the trailer kit? We were thinking about building one and that kit sounds very interesting to start that project.

If you’re concerned about the benches, I stick a 5 gallon bucket under mine for added support, works great

Can you get on plane with two adults and gear with the 6HP motor?

  • @HufflerGarage

No. It won't plane with more than 1 adult with the 6HP. It will with the 12HP though.

They came from boatnumberplate.com You can also order them at West Marine, but it's cheaper to buy them directly.

Bris boats look good. However in my experience, gained by wat of a lot of grief, I am of the opinion that they do not stand behind their product if there is a problem..... and that they use deceptive practices to avoid warranty work. From day one the boat I bought had a leak.... they strung me along and avoided me until the warranty period was over. Then then offered to sell be new again. I am of the impression one should stay far away from Bris. All aforementioned is my sole opinion of course

ha ha ha... give it another year and watch all the bits start falling of it .... postage stamp glue..... poor quality fabric.. weetbix ply... it'll be a rude shock considering how much you paid for it...
