    More is the enemy of good. She knows how to play at high velocity, but this soup of notes is as digestible as quick-setting concrete. There is no melody, no feelings, no soul. A mosquito fly is more melodic than this speed race. The result is senseless and without finesse. Sorry, but your comment about "pure genius" proves you know nothing about music.

    @@mylogify playing bass on a keyboard is much easier, yes. in most aspects

  • @yeeaahBUDDY

    @yeeaahBUDDY

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@mylogify the strength and stamina in your right hand for plucking and left hand for pressing the strings down alone makes it much more difficult to play bass guitar. Not to mention your left and right hands have different roles on the bass guitar, so you have to perfect multiple, separate and different techniques for each hand, whereas on a keyboard both hands just press down keys. You also have to mute other strings while traveling up and down different strings. Playing keyboard takes much less strength, precision, and effort.

    Unbelievable both of them. I think people, especially musicians when they are faced with this level of playing technique feel some kind of anger and jealousy. I can understand that because many are left frustrated after this, and it doesn't suppose to be like that in music. They are just extremely rare talented and devoted musicians and if they feel like being super fast to express self and particular groove, why not. There are no rules in music, easy or super fast, if it's good, it is good, and this is jaw dropping whether you like it or not. They invested many hours and years in this and it is impressive..isn't it? So Gergo and Mohini you are so so good.

    For those comments criticizing her “lack of musicality or feeling”, many other young new phenoms derive the same criticism, as much musicality takes life’s experiences to develop. Sort of an imbalance! One newcomer in the fifties who many deemed unmusical was Charley Parker!

    Except that she plays it live just like this. Every bit as fast. She kills on bass and you can't except it. She played this at Namm 2018. Nobody watching complained that it was sped up because you can't speed up reality. Incidentally, the twitching threads? That's what happens when you are furiously shredding your instrument. But, how could you possibly know that?

    Everybody dreams of having this talent. But the real ability is the dedication and time committed to actually sitting down and practicing. Thousands of hours doing it over and over again. Muscle memory. And the theory needed to be so proficient in improvisation. And to be at such an advanced stage at such a young age. How does a kid develop the discipline to accomplish so much. Kids learn so much faster than adults. Praise the Lord for the gift she was given and then developed.

    whats with impossible to defend trolling? What I see is non musicians / Weekend Warriors using a video of a talented young girl and with the potential to do something in music to take shots at each other based on their limited grasp of what it takes to be a musician. I very much doubt there are really any serious musicians here and I certaintly dont make a point of watching anything like this based on the type of commentary I see. Its Sickening. Lets take a moment to comprehend this... The attitudes I am seeing in this post are what led Keith Emerson to commit suicide with a self inflicted gunshot to the head after reading negative comments online about the state of his playing. The greatest keyboard player to ever live and one of the greatest minds of rock music took his life after losing his ability to play anymore, because the type of people making comments here. I have so much hatred for you foul people and your bullying. Instead of worrying about other people, why dont you instead give us some insight into why you are such miserable human beings that you feel the need to phychologically assault others over the internet?. Musicians dont judge themself based on how fast they can play scales ok? Should I just give up writing thoughtful music and learning as many instruments as possible and just play scales on my composite neck zon bass all day with perfect action, then maybe Id be able to claim I am one of the best bass players despite never writing any worthwhile music? Its not musicianship. People arent mad. People are mad at jerkoffs that come in with the agenda of spreading the self loathing entremched in their every day lives to others. This girls has the potential to accomplish something. She hasnt accomplished anything I have heard of yet, and that type of mussic doesnt move me. Maybe one day she will do that, as she clearly has a good start. If your using this thread to make negative comments at people, please take this to heart and do us all a favor and walk yourself direcly into on coming traffic if you cant.

    I think she will get a better response when music isn’t just about how many different techniques and notes you can pack into a song. Her speed and technique is legit. Sometimes less is more. Picking the right moment for flair. This is just full balls to wall all the way thru. It has it’s place but it’s very niche.

    +Mark S B. Well said! For some people it is very hard to accept that lady can be better than them. I don't think this wouldn't get so much critics if the bass player would have balls between the legs. ...times are changing and we are living more and more in equal world.
