WOW, Dismemberment is such a great feature! Given how The Flood always had this in Halo 3, I figured it would be possible. But yes, I definitely agree it would be "not easy to accomplish" at the very least.

Vanilla 3's lighting is so dated nowadays. Back then it was... okay. But 3 just looks terribly dated, and washed out.

This seems radically more polished than his og release. It wasnt bad but it was definately inconsistent imo.

the one thing i loved about H3 marine armor was the fingerless gloves, such a vibe man

Its very impressive and awesome to see what MythicJaqui is doing, all of his Overhaul mods are just amazing.

Genuinely wanna see a true Brutal Halo mod. No full obliteration gibbing or light dismemberment. I wanna see Brutal Doom levels of blood and gore.

as much as i love infinite chiefs armor, id have preferred a remaster of his normal h3 armor, cant deny how sexy the chosen model looks in h3s engine tho

Literally the only thing I'd change is the visor color, in certain lighting conditions it blends in with the armor. It's a bit yellow rather than an orange color in retail, and i think that's a very important contrast.

Agree, I love the infinite style armour though

The issue with making dismemberment in games is making each part of the body a separate entity and then it being able to fall apart in specific areas, and tbh it depends on what the character model is like to, these factors all contribute to how well they can be dismembered, hence why I can’t make mods I don’t have the patience for it

Imo the Mythic Overhauls are the perfect way to re-experience and celebrate the Halo games, with all the bells and whistles attached, if you've played them front to back and gotten all the achievements.

Hope in time, they can add the slice and dice uncencored unrestricted version of the energy sword, like the light saber mod in star wars and generally speaking when Celebrimbor goes on a wrath rampage in Shadow of War. Same with walls and grass and vehicles etc. I will wait another 5 to 10 years :)

The new burning flood kinda looks like it has Critical mass from godzilla unleashed

One gripe I have is that the new chief armor is the mark 6 gen 3 and it looks to new and not like it’s been through halo 2 like the retail version did

Im so glad ,drones and sniper jackel does not have shields😂😂

The only issue I have is the Elites as enemies. I love the models and everything but it bugs me that they are fighting alongside brutes when they should be tearing each other apart.

I think I'd cry with laughter if this mod had the lancer from gears of war one . That chainsaw would be to fun.

A quick question, how are enemy elites explained in the context of this mod? I thought because of the great schism, the elites joined the Arbitor's rebellion against Truth and his Bruites. Or are they similar to Jul 'Mdama and his Covenant holdouts from Halo 4?

This is from the creators Patreon in the about section "I started modding halo around 2020 with a very poorly made campaign overhaul before the official mod tools came out for the MCC. Man the dismemberment is so cool. My ONLY request is to release a mod that doesn't include the "squish" sound when they're getting dismembered. Kind of takes away from the grittiness of it.

This mod is so great it need some recognition from 343 themselves. Perhaps they make this an official alternate experience for Halo 3 MCC campaign without the need to mod

Chief's armor looks sick but i wish it had some wear and tear on it like in the original. also maybe H2 hands because the game is immediately after h2. why did his hands change?

While this mod is really cool, I will never understand why so many Halo campaign mods jack up the saturation/contrast and ruin Halo 3's fantastic visuals and colors. It's basically a stereotype at this point.

I wish there was more gore in halo. I hope they see this mod and try to incorporate it into their future games. Or at least allow creation club style modding

Really glad he removed a lot of the marine and covenant models from the other games, most of them looked really out of place and the ones that remain look really good in 3 however.

Only thing don’t like as much is the change to the brutes. Other than that, it looks great

Its not a matter or being a "purist" it's simply some things just don't belong in Halo. This Mod was basically "let's turn Halo 3 into Halo infinite" lol

People adding all this dismemberment shit but won't fix the terrible death animations

God this looks so much better than Halo 4, 5 and Infinite. Gameplay wise that is. The updated graphics are nice but not taking away from the original.

That’s cause this was made in H3☠️I really hate when people say “(insert mod here) is way better than any of the 343 games” as it was made using mainly H3 assets and the H3 gameplay loop. H4-Infinite were created completely from scratch with a completely new story, game engine(sort of), lighting system, etc.

​@@Kandanza exactly highlighting the problem. Even playing Halo CE I prefer the older graphics, and the well thought out story. None of this over glossed, and frankly gimmicky bs 343 seems to make you eat. Halo 1, 2, 3 and Destiny beat Halo 4, 5 and Infinite in every aspect. This mod is just the cherry on top. The best thing about Destiny 1 is I never had to spent a penny on shaders. :')

the battle rifle sound low and soft. I don't like it.

Halo 3's campaign was always my least-favorite of the original trilogy... this will definitely change that, haha

the campaign and levels are too short, and the beginning already feels very close to the end. It was supposed to be part of Halo 2 anyway.
