Same. I constantly drew Spider-man with yellow eyes and long ass symbols after seeing this. Hell, I still draw him with yellow eyes half the time. It works well with a darker colour palette

Andrew did not replace Toby. Amazing Spider-Man is from different multiverse. Tom Holland, is also a different Spider-Man, all with similar origins.

Andrew will always be my spider man .I always thought they did Andrew Garfield dirty with these movies. They should have given him a full trilogy. I love the writing and storyline best in his movies. He plays peter so well he is geeky, funny, wise, kind. And his and Emma's chemistry always leaves me smiling. Seriously love these movies so much!!

Sony did announce TASM 3 & 4 were in development as well as a Sinister Six movie, but the second film underperformed. Andrew Garfield was also accused of self sabotage for speaking out against Sony and didn't attend a major promotional event. In reality, he was just answering a question honestly, without thinking of the repercussions. Plus, he was apparently sick at the time of the event. Imo all the actors that have played Spiderman have brought something different and made the character their own. SM2, TASM1 & SM:NWH are my top 3, no particular order.

Andrew Garfield embodied what Spider-Man is supposed to be. Quick witted, joke making, big hearted. He is the greatest.

I know Tobey is the OG but when it comes to watching the movies, my kids and I would rather come back to Andrews movies over Tobey.

Even though I grew up with Tobey era Spiderman, I think I prefer Andrew's rendition of the chracter slightly more. And his suit is soo cool, I love his gloves 😄

One of my favourite spiderman films and great reaction.

I find Andrew to be the better Spiderman because je really feels like him with the little scenes of him interacting with people, his sarcastic disses towards criminals, and his relationship with Gwen is the best. Tobey definitely felt like a better Peter Parker though and it felt more believable rhat he was unpopular in school compaeed to Andrew. Also, common misconception is that you need to be armed for the police t be justified in shooting you. If you continue to approach an officer even after being told repeatedly to step away that's a sign of aggression and now you are possibly a threat to their life.

i grew up w tobey mcguire spiderman so he’s def my fav BUT andrew and tom’s spiderman movies are so great as well. each actor brought something different to the character, it’s easy to enjoy all of the movies. it also really says something about how the character is written that 3 people can play him each differently and it’s still good. tom’s peter was precocious and eager (and the most teenager-y imo), andrew’s is silly and confident, and tobey’s is caring and strong

Andrew Garfield hands down is the best Peter Parker and Spiderman of the 3. The onscreen chemistry between Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man is also perfect in this movie. Alot of people used to shit on this movie when it came out but it has become more loved now than it was when it came out. In the comics Gwen Stacy was perers first girlfriend then she is replaced by Mary Jane but I don't want to give up any plots incase my favorite couple on KZread decide to watch The Amazing Spider-Man 2 which has Jamie Fox in it. Another honest, great review by the big homie and his lovely wife 👍

I think for me its Either Venom or Carnage I personally prefer the origin of the symbiotes in the ulimate series where it was something peter and eddies father MADE and that it was also inside of peter. in the game carnage was born by mixing the dna of venom with peters body and blood and honestly I loved that origin the most bc it made carnage and venom linked to peter forever. never really was a fan of the whole alien origin honestly .

Spiderman is complex and has different timing. You have The Amazing Spiderman and The Spectacular Spiderman One is the kid with Gwen Stacy and Flash, the other Mary Jane And Photography Job not freelance as the kid was. Different periods different ages. When you're not a comic book fan and learning superheroes through movies you will always be confused because majority of it is a from a script and not part of the true heroes story.

Not all the spider ppl are called peter parker lol. There's some different races and gender one's.

Yeah Tobey will always hold a very special place in my heard but I think Andrew truly captured the true meaning of being spider-man and Peter Paker, and this is coming from someone who grew up with tobey as a child. Growing up Ive noticed I swapped from tobey being my favorite to andrew, i just love how he is a goofball it really captures peters energy in the comics for me. and honestly this is probably one of my favorite suit designs out of all the movies, Tobeys is a very close contender though.

Spider-Man 2002 is better

Peter Parker is the original and most famous Spider-Man but in the decades since his creation, many other spider-folk who aren't Peter Parker have come along. After you all finish watching the live action Spider-Man movies, you should definitely watch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Across the Spider-Verse. Also, Gwen was in Spider-Man 3 with Tobey, she was blonde that Peter basically cheated on MJ with with the kiss and dance. But this movie did her more accurate. She was Peter's first true love in the comics. I prefer the Spider-Man trilogy in general out of all the takes on Spider-Man. I didn't care for this movie. But I do think The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the best live action Spider-Man movie looking at it as a standalone. With that said, I still have more affection for the original trilogy.

Marc Webb is amazing, and people should NOT blame him for the failure of this franchise They should blame AVI ARAD

The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth AVI ARAD on the other hand, just wanted to use the movies to sell toys Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of this movie Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise again Spider-Man was nothing without her

You give her way too much credit. The Lizard was always going to be in this Spider-Man movie, with or without Avi, why else was Dr. Conners in both of Raimi's last Spidey films. The original intention of Sam Raimi was to have him in Spider-Man 4, and yes I know it isn't the same universe. I actually prefer this movie, because it's more like Spider-Man is in the comics, apart from his portrayal of Peter, but that's not Garfield's fault. The web slinging is spectacular and I like the Lizard in it. Now, I remember people tried to blame Avi for Spider-man 3, but Spider-Man 3 was the highest grossing of his trilogy. If anything, it wasn't Venom's inclusion, though bad in many ways (the symbiote introduction, and the final way it was handled, but Raimi kills all of his villains), it was the actor who played him. They also completely negated not only Mary Jane and Peter's relationship, but they negated the entire reason for his existence who, killed uncle Ben. So in some ways, yes I could kind of blame Avi for forcing that onto Raimi, but he made multiple mischaracterizations and misteps himself. Come on, just look at the Multiverse of Madness. Besides every superhero franchise has had action toys come out with it.

@@stacyhanlon3640 First of all, having The Lizard in Spiderman 4 made more sense than having him in TASM1 Second, Raimi did not like Venom at all, so after he realized that he wouldn't have the freedom he had, he stopped carrying about making the movie at all. That's why he chose not to return for Spiderman 4 And third, is that Multiverse of Madness was beyond his control, not to mention Disney's approach on quantity over quality that harmed most of the Phase 4 and Phase 5 Also, making merchandise around superhero movies isn't an issue. The real issue is making movies around the merchandise. Adding The Lizard in TASM1 was like adding Killer Croc in Batman Begins.

⁠@@stacyhanlon3640yeah there was nothing Sam Raimi could do about Doctor Strange. No one agreed on what the movie should be and it was just a worse version of NWH complete with last minute revisions. If Sam Raimi directs the next spider man movie for Tom holland, expect him to not have any creative control for that either. That’s just how the mcu is now.
