Wonderfully in-depth and comprehensive review. While I am VERY content with the Muddy, I can not deny, the gargantuan new Rangey really has intrigued me. I look forward to them being and compact as my wife's Mini-G. I think when that happens, G-shock can finally take a bite out of that ghastly Apple Watch thing. Wow, themacro shots ae insane on this!!! Loving the dot matrix on this. @8:00 Do you live on a ship, 🤣🤣😅 Or is that green screen? KBO and best regards, TGV

Cheers TGV! That was me on an actual cruise ship! I will send you a photo of the watch I bought on the ship. I really like this rangeman, it’s massive but still very wearable.

Purchased the first Rangeman as soon as it was available. Alternated wearing it and my Garmin Tactix Bravo. I didn’t think the two were even in the same league. My Rangeman was dependent on a connect to my IPHONE for most advance functions. I upgraded from the Tactix Bravo to a Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar Pro and wore it while hiking the Appalachian Trail and it was great. As for my Rangeman, my son has always admired the watch so I gave it to him. Now, all that said I have checked the new Rangeman out several times and have “almost” pulled the trigger on purchasing twice but I keep going back to the need for the watch to have that link with my smart phone.

Nice review. Its got sone decent functions. But unfortunately beyond my budget currently. Id like some of these features like mixed, dirunal, semidiurnal tides settings if it has them, trickled down to Protreks. I really like to looks of Protreks. Especially the obes ehich look like traditional watches. But their digital Displays too small.

Can anyone help me, please. I got this watch recently and trying to set it up, but I have somehow entered into a function that I can't seem to get out. Holding A button for 2 seconds doesn't work either. Basically the function is I can scroll through Altimeter/Compass/Heart rate/Altitude/Lap using buttons A & D. But I can't seem to get out of that function to pair it with my phone.

Good watch, but useless for gym workout like weight lifting, no counting and motion detection. I believe gshock will get better software, but it is slower than others.

What's happening with the marketplace? I've had an application to sell pending for about a fortnight and , apart from a few hats, there doesn't seem to be any actual watches there.

I’m just pausing on adding anyone who I don’t know on there at the moment. I have been trying to keep a few watches aside so I can add those on. I just had a lot on trying to get these reviews done. This one took me a week to edit so set me back a bit. I work full time also so the channel is not a business.

I replaced my gshock and got a Garmin Instinct 2x now. I am really happy with garmin and probably will never go back. The garmin is very flexible, you can configure everything. The gshock MIP watches can not even show german date format. Somethign thats so easy to implement. Same more the positive display like you mentioned. I really don't understand what casio is thinking here. Feature wise the Instinct has, super accurate multi band GPS, NFC with Garmin pay. Very handy when you dont have your phone and no money, you just pay with the watch. The integrated flashlight is also handy. Not sure wich HR sensor is better butbthe garmin works very well for me. Also the sleep tracking. And then there is garmin connect. That just works so well, also integrates the data from my garmin scale, like bodyfat, bmi qnd so on. Long way for casio to get there.

I have this watch and I have also other master of G models, dont compare the software of garmin to casio cause casio will never win in terms of software, but casio watches is something else, it really depends on what you want, I usually collect master of G's Gshock and this is my latest and I can tell you the hardware is good, only the software is bad, but like I said earlier it really depends on what you intend to use, when for example there will be a world war and the world will be in sh*t or if lets say there is a zombie apocalypse, I will never wear Garmin or any other brands but my master of G Gshock only... its a survival tool bro, really depends

The Casio GPR-H2000 is not a smart watch. Get it through your head. Everyone thinks that it's a smart watch. It isn't. It's first and foremost a G-Shock watch that's supposed to be worn in harsh evironments. It has "some" smart watch features in it, but it's not a smart watch. Casio is not in the smart watch business. They make heavy duty G-Shocks that have some health and fitness features, but they are not smart watches.

I really love the Casio design language, Garmin is just so bland, but I wish that Casio would at least sync with Google Health or the Polar app. This would give us all more options. Without an iPhone you are basically locked in the Casio App.

If your proper fitness it's Garmin, proper tech geek it's apple watch. Proper rugged watch fan has to be g-shock, g-shock used to be coolest looking but I think garmin stole that crown with the fenix line. I've switched to an ultra recently for diving purposes and really want a frogman but the technology just isn't there yet. This rangeman is close but it's a few years too late to the party.
