Somewhere on Earth - Jamaica: • Amazing Quest: Stories...
Fiji: an archipelago located in the Pacific Ocean. Of its more than 300 islands, only about 100 are inhabited.
First we meet Manasa Bulivou, from Benga. In the shelter of the barrier reef , Manasa goes diving with his son Tumbi to feed their guardian angels: the Shark Gods.
Then we meet Hannah Bennett. She is a surfing champion. Her quest will take her all the way to Cloudbreak, one of the most beautiful waves in the world.
Finally we meet Franck Boivert, a rugby coach. He combs the villages of the outlying islands hoping to discover the rare gem of Fijian rugby.

I have to admit I love this series because it goes beyond the usual cliches we have about some places. Fiji we know because of the paradisal beaches and sea. Hey, nothing wrong with that. I’ll take it any day but The Amazing Quest series helps us understand these places as places and not as vacation spots. I think that’s amazing. Enjoy!

In 2003 , my wife and I got engaged in Fiji. We visited for 3 weeks. Born on an island in the Atlantic Ocean in Senegal & grew up in Fishing Village called Gunjur in Gambia, I loved the the sea but never saw under the Ocean until I went to Fiji. Fiji is a beautiful place & a positive timeline in my life’s story.

This documentary left me in awe! With how much love Fijian for their country, culture and people. I when the rugby coach said that the motivation of playing is happiness and that winning will go follow. The young lady surfer was also a great that she never forget her roots. And that after a long day of surfing they just fish by the sea and have bonfire and grilled fish thereafter. Manasa also was a great leader keeping his people live together in harmony with nature. This is what we need our young generation to watch. We need more of these documentaries.

When man challenges himself with natural sports he's fulfilling his worth. Rugby is the real island sport about aggressive peace each one has inside themselves. Like surfing it can be hard at times but so rewarding spending the time on that energy. Yes help someone stand let them see the reason to stand and they will want to the rest of their lives
What a fantastic program and Fiji islands and its wonderful people look so nice. I travelled around the world including hawaii and tahiti, and its rare to see this kind of harmony with their place of beautiful island nature and ocean as fijiians have. Thank you to the filmcrew for making this treasure. Great to learn about the people and island culture. Warm greetings to all in Fiji from denmark. In next life I wanna be reborn on a pacific island.

I love this documentary about Fiji and am glad we have friendly people and a beautiful paradise we can call home. Of the little that one has, people are still content and find happiness in whatever surrounds them and the people they are surrounded with. One does not have to be rich to be fulfilled here in Fiji as nature sustains us and we tend to be happy people. Thank you for this.
Beautiful, natural, everything is nice here, I would love to go to fiji one day.
It takes what it takes to see the goodness in humanity. Sometimes a heart attack may open ones eyes. Yet when our lives become tuned to mother nature we realize the native way is the natural way of any land we walk across. The blessings of life is the air water and sharing a good heart
Thanks to this documentary it reminded me of my wonderful experience during my first visit to Fiji some years ago. I had the pleasure of staying on Malolo island and subsequently went to visit some other remote islands as well. In one word that is often used to describe the experience: Paradise.
I never knew that Fiji is as beautiful just like this. No cars, no building , No pollutants..Very peaceful and simple life yet they have a very interesting culture and traditions. Breathtaking nature, I hope that it will not spoil as years goes by. I admired how the people of Fiji take care of the nature and environment..Im just hoping that all of us should do the same for our future generations👍❤️🙏
