Yashwant Vaishnav student of Indrakala Sangeet Vishwa Vidhyalaya, started his basic training at the age of 3 years under the Guidance of his father Shri Rajendra Vaishnav and attended a regular course in tabla from Shri Hemant Sachdeva. this was followed by a 13 years of intensive learning in tabla from Pt Mukund Bhale ji. More recently Yashwant has been learning from world renowned tabla maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi (Leading Disciple of Ustad Alla Rakha khan Sahab) in Mumbai.
Yashwant has been awarded the highest child artiste award (Bal Shree Award) by honourable President Smt. Pratibha Patil. He has been invited for presenting tabla solo performance in many prestigious concerts. He also recieved 1st prize in National Level Competition organised by Kendra Vidhyalaya Sangathan in the year 2008 and 2009.
He was awarded the Kishor Adhyata Purushkar , Sagar in 2008 .Recently he won 1st prize at All Indian Radio Competition
He has succuessfully presented his performance in tabla in the following popular regions of classical music:- Ustad Allahuddin Khan Academy Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh Kala Pradishat Bhopal, Tabla solo in Jalandhar Doordharshan, Idea Jalsa Organised by Durga Jasraj, Pt. Maniram Motiram Sangeet Samaroh, performed tabla solo in Homage concert of Ustad Allah Rakha Khan sahab (Pune), ITC Sangeet Research Academy Kolkata and many more.
