Amanar"s routine would medal even today... that's crazy!!!!

Amanar's tumbling ability was insane. Whilst most gymnasts were using one or two easier passes to fill out their routines, she did four high level tumbling passes that would still be competitive today almost thirty years on!

I think Romania was the only country to go 24/24 hit optional routines. And they only had 6 gymnasts who all had to do All around. Looking back now, wow. So solid, so consistent and such difficult gymnastics.

Unfortunately, there was no way to overcome the American home field advantage, questionable judging, obnoxious crowds and the Bela Karolyi/Kerri Strug circus act.

@@gaelgarciabernal2434 I mean, Romania benefited from plenty of that questionable judging on compulsory bars and optional beam. They had to use two of their alternates and were still down a team member--that hurt their chances more than any other factor.

The Romanian team was lucky they got third. No grace or originality in any of their routines. The US was clearly the deepest and most talented team in Atlanta.

It was pretty remarkable with all the injuries they had. I still find it surprising they didn’t have any alternates to fill the gaps in.

I think this should be titled something to do with the Romanian team since that’s the only one that’s actually featured in this

Why not just call it what it is? The Romanian Women’s Floor Exercise rotation during the Team Optionals still would have gotten people to view instead of that clickbait thumbnail.

It is horrible to watch how disrespectuful the american audience is. All the hysteric and excesive screaming about the american perfomances certainly afected the other teams in order to hear their music, not saying how psychologically affected them.

Yeah, I did see her on the beam in the background, but she wasn't featured at all. As someone mentioned they'd still get the views had they aptly named it the Romanian floor rotation of the '96 Olympics.

I think Milosovici suffered from not being out later in the lineup. She def was stronger than Gogean but the judges loved to do their whole “we have to let scores escalate instead of accurately judging what’s in front of us.” Other routines suffered from this as well, like Borden’s optional beam.

Lavinia should have been second to last in the lineup. She was a stronger gymnast than Gogean in my opinion, but obviously their coaches made that choice.

Thanks for posting! I enjoyed seeing our American team win but it would have been nice to see other performances.

Didn't you watch on NBC? They showed all the athletes, not just the Americans. Now these days thats all they show is Americans and it has become unwatchable.

​@@tambam6744 Nonsense. Alexandra had excellent choreography, and expression. She was also the only Romanian who could dance. But then she was a Bucharest gymnast. She wasn't trained by Belu and Bitang.

I really hate the Romanians choice of floor music. They might as well be performing in silence. It’s less distracting.

Amazing gymnasts. Annoying crowd.

The audience are annoying, still remember when Galieva can't even hear her floor music because of the audience scream loud when the american will perform😌

The audience was cheering for their athletes- something they were more than permitted to do. Every crowd has been like that in every sport. If the athletes didn’t train for that, it’s on their coaches and not the crowd!

The audience didn’t know that they couldn’t hear their music or that the cheering was loud enough to be disruptive. Had they known they would have toned it down.

es muy molesto ver como los gringos desprecian a las rusas, rumanas y ucranianas, entiendo q esos juegos fueron celebrados en estados unidos y que por ende la mayoria del público fueran gente americana, pero realmente las europeas son muy talentosas, al igual q las gringas, pero de vdd se me hacen muy groseros los americanos tal vez es porque se sientes los dueños del mundo🙄

You do realize there are 4 events all happening at once from 4 different countries... It ain't figure skating 1 at a time. If you watched the full broadcast when the U.S. is not competing the crowd cheers for other countries. Dip 💩.

The gringas are robotic, sorry the Americans hahaha, from Carly Patterson, Raisman, Douglas to Jade Carey, all of them are more robotic than a robot, zero elegance and femininity, only acrobatics with a level of difficulty.

This is a horrible video!!! Apparently, the judges didn't think the Romanians had amazing routines, because no gymnast score above a 9.0!!! The Americans was the team that won the gold medal; I am pretty sure they had some amazing routines that should have been included in this video.
