This made me weep. HOW MANY world class voices are working warehouse jobs? My mother was an opera singer. She raised 6 kids and led the most epic church choirs. The world is filled with talent unfulfilled.

The at home viewer voters did not make him the winner. He came in 9th in the Finals. Not all GBs win. Why didn't Ant and Dec give him a GB?

Opera is a long and difficult road. To get to the Metropolitan Opera House takes years of touring the Opera Houses of Europe, after years of training. Maxwell is better off with Popera, which is what Bocelli does. Also, he can do West End Musicals like Les Miserables and Phantom and make more money than opera stars.

It seems as if your saying don't put too much into singing Opera and concentrate on West End shows, that would be tragic, a great loss for all. Andrea Bocelli sings Opera and also as you put it Popera ( I must admit a word I dislike) there is no reason he cannot do both, but his magical voice is best suited for Opera. I hope all will be looking to further his career.

@@jackiecraig2216 By Opera, I am not rererring to singing an occasional aria, I am referring to singing at the Met. That is Opera and it is not lucrative. Every real opera singer does concerts and albums to supplement their incomes and that is still not as lucrative as what Bocelli does. Bocelli is not an opera singer, he sings arias on occasion, but he has never sung an entire opera at the Met, or La Scala. Pavarotti was an Opera singer who was well known because of his concerts and then The Three Tenors, all who were real opera singers who sang at the Met.

Just watched it again! Got emotional, again !! What a gorgeous voice!
